He never said he's on Win7! What if he's on XP.. or vista! Hmm?! hmm?! Nevertheless, if you ARE on win7, It'll be perfectly sufficient for anything you need for some time. While I've heard some pretty good things about 8, I'd suggest you'd likely be better served usin that $100+ for another boarding trip. Midget is certainly right in that generally Windows puts out a crap release in between good ones. So maybe if ya wait a while and people don't deem it terribly buggy, you won't have wasted your money if it turns otu to be crap.

^^^ haha $40 is like six minutes of your time lightning, quit agonizing and grab that ish!

Just bought an SSD and some more RAM for my laptop. The beast is going flyy!

I've been eating fast food, pizza, and drinking lots of pop lately... real bad for me, but I just keep eating! x_x

We had a trainer ride after we closed the shop today. Trainers are those things that you clamp onto the rear wheel of a bicycle so you can ride indoors BTW, but yeah, sore as shit! Can't believe how out of shape I get when I don't really log any serious miles for 3 weeks. I mean, I ride to work most days, but I only live a mile from my shop. Got in 14.8 miles in an hour today and feel pretty decent. Good starting point.

I decided halfway through my double that I was going to ride, so only had some jeans, wool socks and t-shirt. Sweated my ASS off . Really dumb to ride a trainer with jeans...learned my lesson on that one. Think I pushed myself a bit too much though. We had a few kids from the OSU team riding with us tonight, and for some reason I felt like I needed to keep up with their intervals. Only lasted through 2 of them before I gave up.
Christ I feel fat and old haha.

I am beat! Full day of boarding after working out is no joke.

True, Win8 was made for touch screens, and actually works pretty seamlessly with the new live tiles. I like it so far. (Well, to be fair I'm technically using Windows RT on my MS Surface; but from what I've seen Win RT is VERY similar to Win8.)

Plus, for those that don't like the live tile mode, you do have the option of always working in the traditional desktop view screen. I would say the $40 upgrade is worth it, esp since you have a touch screen laptop. And on the point that every other version of Windows is worthwhile, I'd have to disagree with that opinion this time around.
