Wooop woop! I just convinced the guys that are replacing the windows in our building to give me all the old windows for free. They are all roughly 4ft wide x 2 1/2 ft a section, each window has two sections. All original wood and leaded single pane glass. Pretty stoked. None of them have been painted and are in fairly good condition. Going to refinish all of them and sell to a local place that deals in home restoration/antiques. Judging from other things I have done and sold to them, I could possibly get close to 100 bucks a window. I should be able to easily restore 12 of them, and might be able to save the other two.

I love how the new practice of replacing things house related is to just throw everything old away....although I guess I am glad that a lot of people doing the work don't see the value in old wood and glass. Makes it easy for me to turn a higher margin of profit Big smile

you should make a greenhouse instead and provide fresh produce for your fam... prob save you more in the long run than the G you would make by selling them... plus then you know where the food you are consuming came from!  win win!

If I had room for a greenhouse. Oh, and if I didn't rent. Hell, I would be stoked if we even had a single bed to plant things in. Just one basil plant...a tomato, shit even some kale! We live on the edge of a wooded ravine, and have 60 ft pine trees out front. Spring/summer/fall we get maybe 2 hours of direct sunlight a day.

It's cool though, keeps the A/C bill down, and there really aren't many places you can have a full ravine and roughly 10 acre park as your backyard within 3 miles of downtown.

Drivers here are really, really, REALLY stupid in this weather. Spatial and traffic lane awareness go completely out the window in the presence of snow. Many people don't even have the common sense to clear snow from their lights... front or rear. AND IT'S CANADA. Snow is not a biblical phenomenon. So I don't understand where, between earning their licence and driving to work, the basic human intelligence needed to safely operate a motor vehicle was lost.

Even Russians drive better than we do. Now that's just f*cking pathetic...

do you think it'd be worse if it was just rain? thats LA. Then watch LA drivers go to the mountains when it snows. talk about a test of patience.

I dunno, but when you get in the area let me know how those roads are. Driving up to b-low in a few minutes. I have this feeling there might be a few sketchy parts along the 90..

I know what u mean. Somehow a 5 lane hwy can turn into 2. The best is when they don't clear the snow off the roof of their cars, so when they're driving it creates this blanket of snow for everyone behind them.

OMG YES THIS!!!!! Seen it so much here in CO already. I mean c'mon...you have 2 feet of snow on the top of your vehicle. Don't take an extra 10 minutes to sweep it off or anything. How dare you stop and think that might be a danger to other drivers behind you!

I want to be outside doing fun leg stuff...like bicycling, running, hiking, snowboarding...I'm getting sick of being couch bound.

2 more weeks! (till they can let me know if the bone is completely healed or not...9.5 weeks from when I hit the slow sign)  I want to start putting weight on my leg and being able to walk up the stairs without feeling like I might kill myself every time I go up stairs.

Damn that's scary.  It's amazing how he's been able to elude the cops when he's on the news and every cop is looking for him.
