Being a two-time winner of the 3pm giveaway (most recently 10/2), I thought it's time I should thank Sierrasnowboard for building and supporting the snowboard and ski community. You guys are a great asset for the sport and your customer service and loyalty are unmatched!

Wow, really? You have just as much of a chance as he does, it's all random, there's nothing unfair. Also he was ineligible to win for 3 months after he first won.

P.S. Life is unfair LOL

congrats, but there should be a limit.  Once you win, your name should be taken off the list for a year or something.

I've been a member as long as you, have logged in as much, have posted significantly more and haven't won once...hell, I was barely able to get my 1500 point coupon code exchanged

There is a 90day block.
Have you entered all the interactive giveaways? Like the numerous pictures and videos they have given boards away for? (most recently the FB wall picture, in which there was MAYBE only 5 competitive pictures)
I am not a fan of people complaining about not winning when there is an equal chance of everyone winning (and it is FREE!). However, it irritates me when someone is complaining about not winning yet has never tried to increase his/her odds by entering contests with only 5-20 other participants.
If you want to win that bad, make sure you do the interactive giveaways, and do them well!

Her point is that there are chances for you to win instead of complain and state how long you've been a member and how many posts you've had. Your odds can be MUCH higher. You actually have the opportunity to take your winning destiny in your own hands with the contests.

i agree. SS is the best. ive never won. but just buying from this site is awesome. everything here is mad cheap. only thing that rivals is ebay or store closeouts (ie. i just bought bindings from ski market that just liquidated this winter in new england). this place seems fairly dependable to seeing its huge following.

just bought a bunch of 09 stuff and the ridiculous 70% gave me a price adjustment and gift card!

im new this year. its sad to hear the end of the burton partnership with what seems like a huge online retailer (ss). i hope these price slashes are of the norm and not because SS too may be seeing its end come. if so, i will gladly and happily come back to this site for years to come!

Thanks!
The most recent on was on during the second week of February (I believe) and it was a facebook picture one. All you had to do was tag Sierrasnowboad in your facebook pic, and the best on got chosen. The winner of that one (I am 98% sure, please someone correct me if I am wrong) was

They have also did a best snowboarding action photo in Novemberish. The two I could quickly find in the forum were the Snow Dance and Slow Picture ones.   But there have been others...

Sierra Snowboard IS the best! The things Sierra has given me, like the friendships I've formed and my renewed interest and love for a sport that I was drifting away from, far surpass a free snowboard. Don't get me wrong, it is great to win! But it is just the cherry on top. If you don't take advantage of all the other things Sierra has to offer (including their phenomenal discounts), then you really are missing out.
Big Air. Kids today, that's all they want, big air. I say stick to the mountain. That's where the fun is. You want big air kid? Pull my finger.

Sierra is the worst.  Always offering great deals and enticing me to buy stuff.  Damn you Sierra! Damn you!  Stupid buy one get one 50% off sales.  Angry

Don't get me wrong, Sierra has awesome deals, but the real reason to come here is the community.  The reviews, the how-to's, the advice from experienced riders.  That's the real strength.  As much as I'd like to win some free stuff, I can't complain about it.  It's not like Sierra owes me a board because I spend a bunch of time talking trash in the forums.  After all, they're already doing me a favor by providing the site.  Besides, who else gives away a couple free boards a day.

And congrats joness.  I wish I was as lucky as you Cry

SS is BAD! I cant stop spending with all these great deals! My wife hates me I shop more then she does. Seriously the site rocks. Forums are great for info and friends but here you got discount gear, reviews, memeber points and give aways! Great buisness model for any company out there.

Forgot one more thing great customer service agents here always helping and quick reponse. The free shipping over $100 is nice and return policy is great too. I have issues with size (in between sizes) so I always order med and large of each item especially when all brand seem to be different in sizes too.

+1 When I got back into boardin this year I was scared of how much it would cost me. When I started shopping locally this fear was backed up. Not only did Sierra offer me top of the line gear for great prices but the support as well. I used the community to learn as much as I could about the different products. Now thanks to Sierra I am spoiled with 2 great set-ups and looking to buy a noodle in 6 months. I got my custom v-rock for a cheaper price than my local big box store had a sims protocal on sale for.

I love the price adjustments. Every time I buy something it seems like it gets even cheaper and they keep sending me gift cards. They have good phone support as well. Returns are easy. My only complaint is that it takes 4 days for shipping, just kidding it's my fault for living here in the mitten over 2,000 miles away.

I scored a Sierra V-spot for $99.  Even though I haven't WON a board, I've joined a great community of snowboarding fans.  I am totally stoked to try out the V-spot next year and do my review.  I am intent on making this community a better place.
They give away a ton of stuff by just being an active member of the community: a shirt, a pair of bindings, a board... and give you access to some great group trips (if you're lucky enough to be able to attend the paloozas).  I don't know why people feel that they don't get anything out of Sierra if they're not winning the daily give away.
Consider yourself lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community.

Sierra's is the bestestest out of all other retailers!! they have given away more free board than all those free giveaway contest. The price are a lot cheaper and now the daily staff picks are also brilliant.

congrats on the winning twice!

If it weren't for Sierra, I wouldn't be snowboarding today. I my fiance snowboarding on a whim b/c her parents were getting divorced, and we had a terrible time. Rental gear was garbage, we didn't have proper clothing, and we arrived and left during a blizzard (our 1st time driving in snow). Two weeks later I won a snowboard and bought a bunch of gear form Sierra. Then we taught ourselves how to ride and we've been at it ever since. We're moving to Denver next summer to be closer to the mountains since we're 4+ hours each way from resorts now.

Although quite a sad way to get into snowboarding, it's a pretty sweet story.  Glad you got the hookup with Sierra and that you're moving closer to the mountains.  Hope you both have a great lifetime together, all the while promoting Sierra.  LOL

Yes, it is a sad story. But, snowboarding is the only sport that we do together, so that means spending more time together doing something we love instead of apart. We would've likely never even though about moving to Denver if not for snowboarding.
