There are two pro snowboarders named Jeremy Jones. One is a big mountain god, the other, a jibbing phenom. Both have starred in a ton of snowboarding videos. Both are still at the top of their game.

Which one do you like? Why?

Read the story (in the new Media section) about both and decide:
Jeremy Jones vs. Jeremy Jones

I vote big mountain Jones 'cuz he's not a total dirtball.  Watching him ride is insane.  And his helmet cams and narrations to go with them are pretty cool.

Big mountain Jones.

Something about rail riding jones bugs the hell out of me.  I wanted to slap my TV screen while I was watching For Right or for Wrong.  Just his attitude in general.

Big mountain Jeremy Jones. He's a solid role model and a tip top rider. Gotta respect a man that gives up helicopters for split boards and technical climbing.

Big mountain JJ doesn't have a top for his game. Everytime he does the wildest line, he does one wilder. Climbs a bigger mountain, rides gnarlier terrain. Both of em are incredible skilled at what they do, i think their individual drive is matched.. just in two different areas of the sport. I would say that i think mtn JJ can do a lot of what rail JJ can do, and not so much vice versa. Im more impressed by terrain riding than park though, so Big Mtn JJ is my vote.

Big mountain Jeremy. I've always liked powder riding and backcountry stuff more than urban stuff(although urban stuff can be very impressive). I also cant stand the rail rider Jones.

I like big mountain ninja JJ. I love watching him ride because, although his technique is sometimes questionable, he always manages to not only pull it off, but does so on steeps that would probably make me shit my pants. Plus he's been going to Alaska every year for the past fourteen years or something, I'm jealous.

still weird to me that everyone refers to JJ as a rail guy, considering he is an amazing backcountry rider, and thats what used to stand out to me in the media.. the reason for that must be the fact that his video parts have focused more on rails in the last couple years, i guess.

i like both of them.  its not that i like one more, its that i like natural terrain more.. depends on what im watching.  i love watching jj in the backcountry and i love watching jeremy ride big lines.

I agree with Spenser, to label him as a jibber only is so not fair to him. He kills it in the backcountry too, not just rails. When it comes to the backcountry though he is more freestyle where the other is pure free ride oriented.

I'd say I probably like them both about the same. They're both great boarders, but totally different attitudes.

I dig that Jibbing Jeremy is into customizing motorcycles too.

Dont know who my favourite is but last year while working at a ski resort in Australia, jibbing Jeremy Jones was filming next to our supermarket.
He was really genuine and down to earth and was happy to have a bit of a chat to us mountain employees.

Has anyone seen footage of him in Australia?? I have looked everywhere for it, coz I thought it would be released somewhere by now.

This is the most overplayed gimmick of all time. OF ALL TIME.

Big Mountain.  I prefer what he does to Burton JJ and he strikes me as less of a douchebag.  Not that I know either personally, but just the vibe you get off interviews and the like.

I dunno, but I think I gotta go with the Rossig JJ.  That guy doesn't even begin filming until he's got some 100 days of turns in for a season!  Also, I can't help but love seeing the huge lines..most photogs can't even get close to him and have to shoot from neighboring ridges and peaks!!

Mr. Jones Snowboards Jeremy Jones.  Have you seen his lines?!  OMG!  My jaw drops and palms get clammy every time I see footage of him killing a spine or some crazy wall.  It's insane-- and that's an understatement.  Man, nature and a board become one.  Not to mention the dedication he has for snowboarding.  A day's efforts for one run.  I truly prefer the offerings of Mother Nature, but park is definitely not beyond me.  Both are fun and take skill to master, so honorable mention to the younger Jeremy Jones.

Shall we just say, "Eff it!  Whatever floats your boat."
Weather, comply!

They are both really talented riders, who have done a lot for the sport, and are each creative in they're own way... I would have to go with big mtn Jones though because he's originally from MA. Plus you see jibbing in just about everyone's video part nowadays and you dont see that much big mountain riding, especially at the level of Jeremy Jones.

Just for fun, I am voting for the Jeremy Jones who is running for congress, which is me.

Just kidding.  You would, however, be amazed how many times I am asked while campaigning if I skateboard or snowboard.  I have thought of learning, just to say yes!

They're both incredibly sick riders to be honest. It was insane to see big mt. JJ to take a massive fall on one of his lines in AK and still say that it was the best ride of his trip. I prefer Burton JJ because he's got a ton of style and a really amusing personality. His parts in any Burton film is always unique and stands out from everyone else. I also like how he's taken Keegan under his wing!

Burton's JJ is a legit guy(as others have said above who have encountered him)..

I ran into him in the parking lot at Breck 2 years ago and he's pretty much just a normal guy.

Very cool.

Posed for some pics, asked a couple of us if we wanted to hit a run with him and jake b...(we were leaving so missed out on that )

He's actually a bigger guy than you'd think(i'm 6'2 200)

thanks for the website critique.

Yes, I really am running for US House, and no, I have never touched a snowboard.  The last time I did anything in the snow was about 8 years ago I went sled riding and broke my arm.  My hat's off to you guys for your skills, I am always amazed.

Anyway, I did not come here to start anything, the thread showed up in my Google alerts, so I checked it out.

I just hope the other JJ's do not endorse my opponents.  I can see the press story now, "Jeremy Jones supports XXX!"

One more question if you do ending up checking back,  it is hard to spend your entire life making sure you don't do or say anything that could be used against you?   I think that would be incredibly tough.

Honestly had no idea there were two of them until I read this. I saw Thats It Thats All and thought it was Burton Jeremy riding in AK. So it would make sense that I am more of a fan of Burton Jones, I am a really big fan of urban/park/jibbing, and love his style. Although nobody can honestly claim to dislike either of them, they just have way too much skill and dedication to the sport.
