Just wanted to shout out to everyone on the Sierra staff for putting this together, was another super successful event, even though it was 3x the size of last years you guys pulled it off.

I cant speak for everyone on the trip, but Keith, Eric & I had a great time.  The hotel was super, the people were good, and riding was amazing.

Bruizza brought the powder again, he is some sort of weird southern lucky charm.  Keep him around I suppose.

Looking forward to Tahoe.
I'm just here for the titties

Yeah guys, it was such a good time. I had an absolute blast riding with all of you; I wish I could've stayed longer and taken laps with more of you guys but alas, that's what Tahoe is for...I'll be seeing you guys again shortly!

Also, what a great way to end the weekend...pow turns all day long. Glad to see that the Mattaleao Colorado curse has been broken.

About 8 inches last night and a few throughout the day. We were still getting fresh tracks at 1 and 2 in the afternoon.

Yeah, it was pretty nice coverage, seemed like a lot more than 8 inches on several parts of the mountain and in the tree's.

Came home to 15 inches of fresh at Mt. Hood Meadows, but I'm too tired to even attempt getting on a board.

Matt, I would like to thank you for coming, but I can't since you wouldn't wear the shirt and do the wolfpack speech.

Riding in CO was definitely a good time!!! Maybe next time I take a black diamond tree run it won't take me half hour+ to get through it. Fun times all around for sure!

I had a great time and loved finally being able to put actual faces and names with sierra names.  Big smile

I'm looking forward to next time!

Yeah it was crazy.   Stass broke her wrist.  E Money got a concussion (thanks to me). Wingnut broke his wrist.  Someone else.. im not sure who, but got hit in the half pipe and had a board cut through her boots and almost break both her ankles.    Then not to mention all the damage done to peoples livers and pride.

But over all, i would like to thank everyone who came out as well as the rest the staff. With out them we wouldn't have had this.   If i ignored someone, im sorry.  its hard to spread your time over some many people.  We will ride again soon.

The stories you will here will be worthy of a hardback novel.

but for a little preview....

Hot tub for 4 hours, the bar had to restock on beer twice and had to got get cups from the cafeteria.  There was synchronized swimming, speedos, and beer fights.

Lessons from Bruizzapalooza
1. Don't feed the Rocheezy whiskey (originally proposed by bastimret).
2. Don't let Matt near shiny things or he'll buy them (but not before trying to negotiate them down from an already ridiculously low cost for being "chipped" after two days of on-site useLOL).
3. Hanging with red necks is fun, even if their accents make them sound like they're going to throw on white pointy hoods and lynch you.
4. My first instinct after watching a Halfricans bounce off one tree into another is asking whether he's ok and then laughing my ass off.
5. Those damn Quebecois like to lick people who reach across them for chicken wings.  Beware of the Zoe.
6.. Tat Chow's gf is apparently ok with settling (BIZAM BITCH).
7. shtook THE CHINESE.
8. Tat Chow and I need Steff around so we can truce and consolidate our hatred against one common enemy.
9. The Steamboat Grand apparently thinks it's logically consistent to rent large luxury hotelrooms that have decent-sized flat screen HDTVs, full kitchens, a gas-powered fireplace, and foot-tall cast-iron elk, BUT NO FREAKING BEDS.
10. Big Mike is awesome.
11. Hanging with the Sierra Crew is so much fun.
ROLL ON, BISHES.

FYI Keith did all the negotiating, and after the day I had on that scope nobody was taking it from me.

Few more:

12. Philwiles shtooking kills it.  Some of the upcoming graphics in the Sierra line are absolutely insane.
13. If you're riding in the trees and see a small opening that your brain tells you is sketch but you decide to hit anyway because you see some tracks running into it, follow your first instinct unless you want a face full of branches and the line from hell, just like that first mother shtooker.

That would be Jenn. Lacee was out demoing a sierrascope 52 on saturday when we roll'd through Maverick. There was a small step up and a hip jump side by side at the top. Lacee didn't carry enough speed into the hip and ended up rolling back down. Jenn was following way too close and ended up smashing straight into Lacee as she was coming down. The sierrascope cut through her pants, her boot liner, and all the way down to the shin. She had to get 13 stitches for both legs.

Speaking of maverick what's the deal with the small kicker with the long table??? you have to haul ass to fly 2 feet over it. never tossed so much salad.

Which jenn?  there was like 20 of them there.

and about tossing salads..   Donald got rocked on a feature.. i had to skip it because he was dying.. went around him and got mine tossed on the next.  I have never felt like all the poo in the world was going to fall out of my bottom.

its funny how you always get hurt on the little stuff.

Shaka... maybe you shouldn't email me where those awesome trees were... apparently they were totally sketch!

seriously.

took a knuckle run to calibrate the speed for the "big" jump but there's a steep landing and you just brush yourself off if you sketch it.

the triple set in rabbit ears is nasty though. the first two are standard enough but there's something wonky about the last one. loop'd it and ended up flying sideways.

i used to kid when I said the little stuff was more dangerous. i'm totally serious now.

Huh?  The ones on Pony were sketch the first day since there wasn't much coverage, but on the second day they were absolutely sick.

I forget the name of the run we ended up lapping the second day, someone on here has to remember what lift that was.  The tree's were epicly awesome.

CAPiTAs come standard with chainsaw edges.  Better show some respect next time.

Don't tell anyone, but me and Gifted got a run in on a new prototype board that has collision avoidance radar built into it.

It will avoid tree's and other riders automatically for you, and adjusts itself to float over any conditions.  Its a joint collaboration between Capita and Subaru

Of course it had Union bindings on it.  The teleportation button wasn't working right though.

TaiGuy, if i'm thinking of the same feature in the large park at the top i am pretty sure the idea is to use it as a hip jump into a tranny for the first kicker.

Yea, I think that's the idea.  I was super confused when i saw skier after skier hit it and just pop up onto the tabletop, but I think it's designed to be a hip.

yep. that's what we used it for. it's kinda of slick; although the run in is overkill for that size kicker.

best part was waiting for skiers/boarders/groms/everyone to clear out of the way since they'd wait right up top after coming over the lip. you couldn't take the hip while people were standing there lest you pull another sierrascope murder attempt.

What, I totally didn't head out with you guys. And next time, laps are necessary. Shoulder is doing better, perks are helping.

Levi, we'll always have something and you know that. It's just a matter of time before we embrace it.

BWAHAHAHAHA. I love that chick... and I got some amazing next-day texts along the lines of "...I have no idea what happened" and "...I'm gonna be sick"
*this are not direct quotes, but the idea is there*

30 PLUS inches and endless fun cat boarding with steamboat pow cats

Phatman wins the award for spraying Mike.M the hardest. A tidal wave of powder caused me to do a front flip and a half even though i was balanced standing on my board waiting for the cat.

what else...look for some SICK photos and ALL the expert members are expert powder riders after today!

Until Shakapaolooza at Stevens Pass, Washingston...which is less than one month away!
