the movie will probably start around 8pm, but if your planning on coming, I'd get here earlier than that.

Nu NU, I'm confused. You moving to Cali?

I can agree with the fog thing. When I first got to San Fran I had no idea about the fog and thought it was all pollution. I was disgusted.
LA is the place where the pollution is horrible. San Fran is pretty nice since we get all sorts of wind that move the air around.

I'm considering my alternatives now. Possibly buying a condo or coop out in NY or moving out to Cali for 10 years and then returning back to NYC.... I haven't looked at the real estate in Cali so I'm not familiar at all with the prices there. Are there any good websites to go to for CA like Foxton.com for the tri-state area (NY/NJ/CT)? I just wanted to get a general idea if I'm living in a dream or not.

For renting: Nothing beats craigslist in the bay area. For buying....I'm not to that level yet =(. I'll let you know if I hear of anything.

yea, we use craigslist too, but for real estate it's a bit hard because it's not too informative..

might want to watch out when buying. i hear the real estate out there is decreasing in value so your 200k might be worth 150k in the next few years.  i got some family that work for a few banks that sell loans and most of there costomers are coming from cali. better do you research buddy. oh and congrats on winning a board.
dont visit texas its hot and theres no snow here!!!!

You can buy a house boat in Sausalito with views in that range.  We got a pad in Sausalito you can be in the city in 10 minutes, but you are living in Marin County which is great with tons of open space land ocean and bay.

you know where all the pollution from the bay ends up right in the central valley. thanks! i get to breath it every day. and now cant even see the freekin mountains! weak sauce!

id move to at least sacramento. only an hour and a half to some of the raddest resorts on the west coast. wayyyyyyyy to long of a drive to tahoe from the bay. and wayyy to many people from the bay going to tahoe too lol.

the bay area is the area surrounding the san fransisco bay(the bay area), including out to livermore and pleasanton ( they call that the East Bay).

The Central valley is the big valley you see in the middle of the state runnign from north to south, sacramento, stockton, modesto are some of the bigger citys that lie in the valley. look on a map you will see what im talking about.

im about 30 min south of Sacramento in the valley. if your going to move to the valley id stick with the sacramento area. likei said not too far from tahoe and all the good resorts!

you might look into Reno or Sparks, Nevada, kind of a bigger city and way close to northstar (40min) and sugar bowl and other resorts. or if your into the mountain town thing and can find a job in the area theres Truckee. lots of pro shreds live there. but get ready to dig your viehicle out every morning because it snows there like its goin out of style :)

I was there for a week for training that wouldn't end until the late evening.. we were told that the train stops operating at midnight or somewhere around there, so we just hit up any and every local bar in pleasanton... not much there =T

How long ago was this. My pal Maria was being trained in Pleasanton in July. And I can't think of many HQs  in Pleasanton.

It seems that Australia is the continent Snowboarding missed, sort of alpine sports in general.

I know it's not Sierra Snowboard. And you all should go to Sierra Snowboard. But...if any of you Bay Area folks can't make it out to Sac town. The movie follows at Pyramid brewery on Gillman in Berkeley.

VA's a nice vacation spot and maybe possibly a retirement location, but i'm more of an urban (NY/LA) type of person.
