guys with large paws check this out – we have a 160cm Wide version of the Sierra Crew Reverse Camber board.

Being on the road I don't know whether it's in the warehouse with the first batch of boards that got air-freighted into the US or on the boat which should arrive in the next few weeks

Mike M and I have just spent the last 30 mins checking with the warehouse and unfortunately all the 160cm Wide boards are on the boat as we speak but just so you know we're honest people here's the print proofs of the 160cm Wide Wink

Hmmm....Maybe there are a ton of subscribers and they send them out in batches and they haven't gotten to you yet.  I know sometimes other members will say they got an email and I don't get mine until the next day.  Maybe I was in the first group this time?  I don't know.

If I'm not mistaken, that email was sent only to people who were registered participants of the Sierra World Tour Colorado Trip.  I got the email from "Events@sierrasnowboards.com" instead of the general "Info@sierrasnowboards.com".

Maybe someone from staff can help us out on this one....

Not true.  I wasn't registered and didn't go on the trip, and I got the e-mail.

It says that all 2009 boards are 70% off but the Burton ones are still showing 50% and the Capita is coming up at full price, even with the code.  Anyone know why?

There is probably some fine print missing saying that Burton boards are exempt.  I believe Burton revised their retailer-manufacturer agreement to be a bit more strict on when you can boards and by how much.  They appear to have sold off all boards that were eligible for 70% off.

If you're asking about the Capita Sierrascope, the coupon is not good on that board. It's only good on the 3 new Sierra boards.  (Sierrascope is already on sale any way, though)

Weird. I assume the Burton stuff is vendor contract issue, but you'd have to confirm that with staff. Not sure what the deal is on the Indoor.

My email said "All" 2009 snowboards are 70% off.  A little misleading.  If Burton and the 1 2009 capita board aren't at 70%, the email shouldn't have said "all."  Don't really care because I don't want another board anyway, just sayin'

I PM'd Levi about it. The pricing folks are at SIA, so he'll try and get with them when possible and figure out what the deal is with the pricing on that stuff.

Can someone possibly forward that discount to me? I'm a new member so not sure if I'm signed up to receive any newsletter and just checked my email, which didn't have any new ones from Sierra. I'm trying to buy the Sierra RC Board, but wanted to make sure I got the discount first. My email is mitchelluf@yahoo.com

Thanks...

i rode the YES 156.5 and the Sierra Rocker this wknd. both are seriously awesome boards. Not sure how you like your boards to flex, but they're a ton of fun. I havent seen a YES for under retail price, (399), and their prices are going up for 2011 product as well. The price of the Sierra Reverse camber will be well under that, if you're looking between those two boards, you could likely save about 150 bucks going with the Sierra RC.

Thanks for the discount code guys. Question, I'm 5'11'', 160lb, 10.5size foot. Should I be getting the 159 or a shorter board for the reverse camber? I mostly do free ride but I've heard for reverse camber, you size down?

Sidenote, pretty sure they updated the price on the '09 Indoor.  That's a ridiculous deal.  $125.70?  I wish they had something smaller than the 160 left.  Oh well.  Somebody be a man and buy steal a CAPiTA!

Why can backcountry (via brociety) sell Burton boards for more than 50% off. The primo is up there right now for 63% off. If Sierra threw the the malolo up for 70% off I feel like they would sell out today.

Take this for what its worth, I'm the same height and five pounds heavier and ride the 159.  However, most people think I ride boards that are too long for my size.  I prefer more stability and float since I ride in the NW and we frequently have 6-8 inches of fresh down every time I ride.

I can say that in Steamboat last weekend, I had no problems riding powder in the tree's all day, and on groomer days I have absolutely no problems dorking around doing whatever.  So its the right size for me.

Size is fully preference.  I am about the same height as and 30 pounds heavier than Shaka and my preference for everyday riding is around 160, about the same size he rides.  We have pretty similar riding styles too, although I screw around a little more than he does.

I'm debating between the 159 and 155. 158/159 would be my normal board size. I'm just trying to figure out if I should size down for a reverse camber board based on height/weight.

Sizing down on reverse camber depends on the reverse camber.

I believe the reason they tell you to size down with certain profiles is because:

A.) You can ride powder with a shorter board size.
B.) Certain camber profiles (banana comes to mind) takes a ton of pressure off your contact points and puts "control between your feet."  So stability is less a function of your total edge, but of how wide your stance is.  I rode a 154 TRS BTX with a 24.5" stance that felt more stable (to me) than a 159 TRS BTX with a 23" stance.

I'm not familiar enough V-roc to know whether that holds true.  Personally I just size like normal, but sizing down might suit your preferences.
ROLL ON, BISHES.

I guess you missed the sierra sale a couple weeks ago where all 09 boards were 70% off and the malolo did sell out in about an hour.

Cool, thanks for the break down. I guess I just have to figure out if V-Rockers are typically sized down. If not, I'll probably stick to the standard size.

Since Staff in Sac doesn't have answers on that, there's no reason to expect that the Expert Members would either. I didn't read Bru's response as all that sarcastic.

I didn't really think he was being that sarcastic. I obviously did not see that/I did not really want a malolo at that time. I guess I can keep a look out for that 70% off to come again.
