Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) -- State offices and schools shut down, flights were grounded, and cities put emergency crews to work Friday throughout much of the South as a powerful winter storm marched across the region.

I just thought I would share some pictures of my front yard in Alabama.
It's so rare for us that I hope you can appreciate it as much as I do. (and I don't have anything better to do since they closed campus today)
Enjoy!

Big Air. Kids today, that's all they want, big air. I say stick to the mountain. That's where the fun is. You want big air kid? Pull my finger.

It's been raining on Mount Hood.  El Nino is a bastard to us.

this is verrry rare. Happens in the deep south maybe once every 20 years

A long time ago, when I lived in mobile, alabama, we got a 1-2 foot dump. Everybody headed to the golf courses with anything they could ride: surfboards, skate decks, cafeteria trays, whatever.  Of course we froze our asses off because we were wearing jeans, tennis shoes and other cotton sh!t that got soaked.

Haha Nick, looks like you've been watching too much FOX News!

You might appreciate this:

(I can't find it on youtube so you have to go to that link )

"Help! It's dark where I am, yet just two hours ago it was sunny. The sun just went away, and then this not as bright sun came up in its place."
"That's just the moon, what you're describing is just night time."
"It's dark and it's only getting darker! This proves global darkening!!"

Hehe. I love Jon Stewart.
