I don't know if I should get one because I have more of a "manly" figure than a female figure. Same with the boots and bindings, I don't have narrow or small feet. I'm 5'5", around 160 lbs, with around an 8 or 9 mens shoe. Is there any other girl on here that are kind of like me? If so I would really appreciate what you think I should do and what you think would work best for me.

P.S. I'm a beginner but am going to do plenty of snowboarding this year.
Thanks in advance

Legend~

Until this year, I have had more men's boards than women's, so don't think of it like men's vs. women's. It is more unisex vs women's.    In general, women's boards are softer and more narrow due to our weight and foot size. With your foot size you are on the line of getting a regular women's board, or having to get a mid-wide (mid-wides for women's boards are usually for a women's size 10 foot or bigger). You really don't want a board that is too narrow, toe drag is a bummer (and so is adjusting your angles so you fit). With a men's board, you have a good foot length for a regular board.

If I were you, I would look for softer men's board around a 151 (ish).   I can give you some suggestions if you want, or go to product chat and they can help you out.

You may want to stick with a women's bindings. A womens snowboard binding is going to have a lower high back, they are softer, and they are generally canted differently than a mens binding.   Being only 5'5'', the lower high back can make a huge difference in knee/calf/ankle fatigue.

As for boots, you really should go try those on. Like sneakers, all brands of snowboard boots will conform to your feet differently. You may want to stick with women's boots because they are usually a little lighter and tend not to go as high up on your leg as a men's boot will. However, you may find a men's boot that fits your foot better. You really need to try them on!!

Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Cheers!
Big Air. Kids today, that's all they want, big air. I say stick to the mountain. That's where the fun is. You want big air kid? Pull my finger.

My suggestions for a woman would be the very soft boards: K2 WWW, Capita Horroscope, Artifact 1985, Signal Park Rocker, etc...
