There's an indoor pool, as well as an outdoor pool Zoe

However, given enough drinking time there could be an impromptu March polar plunge

really?  I google mapped the two addresses and it was like 6 miles up the road.  Either way, we'll be taking some sort of transportation there, yes, as staying on hill was quite a bit more expensive.

*Edit, I stand corrected, 3.7 miles:

Driving directions to 5781 Mountain Rd, Stowe, VT 05672
3.7 mi – about 6 mins
1746 Mountain Rd
Stowe, VT 05672
Edited - Show original
1.Head south toward Mountain Rd/VT-108 S
108 ft
2.Turn right at Mountain Rd/VT-108 N
Destination will be on the right
3.7 mi

hmm interesting, i just checked on Google maps and it said less than 4 miles.  Locations were "Stowe Mountain Resort" and "Stoweflake Resort & Spa".  I also found some sites that say there's a "ski shuttle" from Stoweflake.

Yeah basically I think the hotel is in town and up the road is the hill.  I've been before and sorta remember.

Super stoked -- was riding today at Killington in bluebird spring conditions.  Hopefully we'll have the same for Canadian-palooza.  Extra stoke-factor on the Rome possibility.  I hope you guys are going to the factory while you're here.

No need to drive if you don't want to, there is a shuttle service that runs from the Stoweflake (and elsewhere in town) to the mountain, I believe it runs ever 1/2 hour or so. It is no more than a 10 minute drive up to the slopes.

Plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance (The Shed is right across the street)and the bar at the hotel is actually pretty nice and will usually stay open past "normal" closing time (12:00 I think???) if there is a decent crowd.

Ah...my friend invited me to Stowe this weekend for for a $199 package deal. It'd be great to save the extra cash, but possible Rome demos could be reallly sweeeet!

Planning on driving up if I go though, so I'll most likely have a couple seats in my car. (I don't have a snowboard rack though, but if someone else did, that'd be extra space for carpooling).

I'd probably avoid the public shuttles that run up/down Mountain Rd (access road of all the hotels/restaurants). They're pretty small and can sometimes get quite crowded, especially if you have a large magnitude of ppl going up. Sometimes they don't run on time also, so that may bite into your ride time and apres-ski time. My recommendations for good eats: Sunset Grille, The Shed, Pizza In The Sky. Rusty Nail will probably be a good spot for everyone to hang out since it's has a large bar area with ~20 drafts and plenty of room to jam.

Pat: If you need tickets, I can get you a 1-day for $42 and 2-day for $69.

TFS my pass cost almost twice what Bru's did, and has like 20 blackouts and less mountains.

yea well a season pass at my hill is 400$ max... you get a 5min chairlift ride and a 30 second run.

With this pass you can ski 16 mountains for the price of one... (Ive never been to any of those 16 mountains nor do I even know where they are). and you get "free one-day admission at many Quebec ski resorts". I've been to ONE of the hills listed for that.

The product page for the package is here!!

Use the coupon code 'shaka' to ensure that you do not pay for shipping charges on this.

I'm working on making a coupon for lift tickets only, but I don't have it done yet, so please be patient.

Two day lift tickets will be $61 total, and one day lift tickets will be $40 when purchased separately.

Ok, coupon codes for just lift tickets.  Pretty straight forward as to which is for one day and which is for two days Wink

Betty2DayTicket = $61

Betty1DayTicket = $40

Again, be sure to use the 'shaka' code for free shipping on this item since we're not mailing anything to you.
