Buy your package for the weekend here!

Update for those coming tonight (Friday):

Dinner is at 7pm at the lodge/hotel tonight!  Two kegs and more for booze.... be there.

We'll have lift tickets available at 9am at the Judah lodge for those picking up lift tickets.

If you need to, Private Message me for my cell number to contact me tomorrow if you can't make it by nine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4/13/10 Updates:
I haven't been able to verify rooming yet, as Jiggly posted, the hours of the staff are Wed - Fri.

But, here's the initial layout.  I asked for anyone who was coming with someone to let me know and I'd room you together.  If you didn't contact me, you very well may not be roomed together.  I have already sent this to the hotel, so unless stated otherwise by them, it is confirmed and will not be changed.

Queen size beds will typically need to by shared.  Some rooms are okay to get a roll-out in, but many are not.  Please check the hotel-layout to determine if you're in a room where a roll-out is okay before trying to possibly request one.

Room

202 Mike Nicki

204 HC Rider IL Low

309 Levi Chelsey Stacey T

310 P3 CadillacTramps Rosebud

And, as usual, you will check in as normal and put your CC down for incidentals when we get there.

Please make sure to have some directions to Sugar Bowl..... just in case you plan to caravan, but for some reason get separated.

629 Sugar Bowl Road
Norden, CA 95724

To get to the hotel, park at the Gondola parking structure (underground).  There will be a parking area on your left, and a lodge and the parking structure on your right as you drive towards Sugar Bowl.  You really can't miss it.   You can unload at the loading bay, or just carry your stuff through the parking structure to the gondola.  Either way, it's up to you.  Load it up and we'll see you there!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.5.10 Updates
This package deal is for two nights lodging (Friday & Saturday), two days riding (Saturday & Sunday), and four meals for the weekend.

We will be staying at the on-hill lodge at Sugar Bowl for the weekend.

Once the package is booked, it is non-refundable.

If you are looking for just lift tickets to come ride with us, you can purchase them using the coupon code 'sierrapalooza'. Tickets alone are $49/day.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*EDITED by Jenn*
3.31.10
I talked to Mike about getting you guys some numbers yesterday and he was still working on it today.  Plan for around $250-$300ish (give or take) for the weekend.... rooming, lift tickets & four meals from Friday night thru Sunday afternoon.  If you budget for that, you should be fine.  These are rough numbers because I still do not have specifics, so it is subject to change.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know phatmanpalooza doesn't even start for a few weeks, but the Tahoe event is right on it's heels.

I realize that the hotel/lift pass stuff won't be worked out for about a month, I just wanted to start the conversation about people giving rides/places to stay/etc.

I'm looking to buy my tickets in the next week or so - Probably flying in to Reno Friday morning, and leaving Sunday night (southwest flights leave at 7PM, dont know if this is a problem)

I'd like to avoid renting a car if possible, so if anyone want's to offer a spot in their whip - i'd appreciate! (Ride from reno to tahoe and tahoe to reno fri/sun)

Looking forward to Tahoe Round 2 now that I can link turns. Hope everyone from last year can make it again. Star

I just looked up flights for me to Reno and it is like 40 more each way. Cheaper to fly into Sac. Plus I want to check out the store.

Yes, that's what I did last year but it will probably be a tad harder to find rides from there i'd think.  Reno is much closer.

I'm open to either honestly, whatever is easiest.

Reno is WAY closer and worth the extra $40, especially to fly out from

I am looking at either Sac or Reno but I think it might be easier to get a ride from Sacto from someone near the store. That is, unless the Embassy is picking people up in Reno.

I am 50-50 right now.  Depends on what the cost of Sierrapalooza packages turn out to be.

Reno would probably be easier, but Sac. tickets are a bit cheaper, so we'll see how it plays out.

Like I said, it depends on ride availability.  Reno is significantly closer, i'd rather put someone out for a 30-40 minute drive than a 2 hour drive.

I have decided that I will be making it to Tahoe. I think I will fly into Sac for sure cause I really want to check out the store. Most likely I will be needing help with some rides unless I rent a car.

No it is at sugarbowl.  Have you ever tried to coordinate a trip with ~100 participants coming from all over the country?  Having it at more than 1 place doubles the amount of work that has to go into it.  I can't believe you would wish that upon Jenn. Wink

Beastmode.  Just booked my flight(s)

I'm flying in to sac on Thursday night (9PM)
I'm flying out of Reno on Sunday night (7PM)

Hopefully rides can be arranged so I don't need to rent a car.  LOL

Stoked to see everybody and sugarbowl again.

I'm looking at flights into Reno on thursday night (10p) or friday morning (arriving about 9:30a)...
flights out Sunday are looking tough to find late enough, but I can pay a lil extra and make that happen... otherwise I found a ton for Monday morning (and really anytime monday since if I'm gonna take that day off, my flight time won't matter much unless I work a half day).

Just waiting for the word that the dates/details are on lock so I can make this palooza happen without unexpected costs later on Big smile

I have to make a plan on that too.
Looking forward to get some vacation-days and good deals on the flight.

'Cause I guess this will be maybe the last Palooza with the Sierra-crew before I head back to Austria. So it's a MUST for me.

so, should we be looking at Sac plane tickets or Reno? What would be the ride/plan issue for when people come into SAC/Reno??

Just trying to see if it's feasible, don't know if I'd be able to rent a car and what not, limited due to age(i think it's 25) and funds...

GSR in reno is literally half a mile from reno airport. There are shuttles that leave from there and other casinos that take you right to the slopes :D.

So it looks like my best bet is to fly in on Thursday to Sac... around 11PM.  Would anyone be willing to lend me some floor to sleep on?  Shaka said he could drive me from the SAC store to Sugarbowl so if you have no room in your car, it's not too much of an issue... I just need a place to sleep Thursday night.

Let me know =)  I will buy you many many beers!
