Season start date:   11/28/2009

Season end date:     5/15/2010  (41 days)

Favorite new gear:   Nike Kaiju's, boots are so important.

Injuries:  Torn rotator cuff, bone bruise on shin (possibly shin splints)

Favorite spot you rode this season:  pow day @ steamboat was the best day of the year, tree run under orient express in vail was my favorite run

Total amount spent on lift tickets/passes: $900 ($600 epic pass, $25 for a day at echo, $25 for loveland closing day, and $250 for 4 lift tix for the 2 palooza dates)

Random Thoughts:  This was my first full legit season (15 days last year mostly on the east coast) i think that i progressed a ton, and the 35+ riding days in color ado totally justified my move out here, I had a blast. I can't wait to get a full season in Colorado next year. (missed oct/november this year)

I'm just here for the titties

Season start date:  november something

Season end date:  probably april 25th (kirkwood closing date)

Favorite new gear:  Burton Ak oven mitt, tadashi fuse 154

Injuries: coccydynia

Favorite spot you rode this season:  I rode Kirkwood exclusively this season.  Fav spot is probably the wave on those powder days.  soooooo good.

Total amount spent on lift tickets/passes:  $200.  college network pass

Random Thoughts:

It's been an awesome season in terms of snow and number of days spent on the hill.  I am surprised how many days (21 so far) i was able to get up there considering how busy I have been in the past few months.  I guess like most people here, I try to ride as much as possible, even if that means a 7 hour drive on a day trip.   On those long drive back I always wished I could've stayed another day.  When I was in-between trips, i was always daydreaming about riding and planning the next trip.  I think most of us wish we can be riding 100+ days, and i'm sure some of you guys probably do.   But now looking back, i wonder if I really would ride 100+ days even if i could.  What i realized this season is that snowboarding is therapeutic for me in that it represents a break from my normal "life" where I can feel free from everyday worries.  It calms be down and makes me super happy. I get a high as soon as the first lift picks me up and then slowly taper off  after the last run until the next trip when it starts all over again.  If i had 3 months off during which I lived in tahoe and able to ride everyday, I wonder if snowboarding will still feel the same way?  I'm guessing it'll become more like a routine, sleep->ride->eat->repeat.   How do you guys who ride 100+ days feel about it?

There should be "number of shred days" as season start and season end don't really mean anything.

Number of Shred Days: 26 so far.

Season start date: 10/16/09 at Mammoth

Season end date: not yet.

Favorite new gear: NeverSummer SL-R

Injuries: Nerve damage to my right cheek.

Favorite spot you rode this season: Snowbasin UT and Mammoth Mt. CA. Favorite day was in Brian Head Utah, powder day riding in the trees.

Total amount spent on lift tickets/passes: $299 for Mt. High season pass and probably another $400 for other resorts.

Random Thoughts: Great 09-10 season.

Season start date: Dec 15

Season end date: TBD? Sierrapalooza?

Favorite new gear:  Sierra Reverse Crew!

Injuries:  Neck muscle injury - not fractured vertebra as originally diagnosed!

Favorite spot you rode this season: Baker. Crazy powder.

Total amount spent on lift tickets/passes: $480 to date

Random Thoughts: I hit my season goal three weeks ago, first black diamond really ridden. Therefore, my season was a success. However, I feel like if I had just a bit less caution I could have attained much more as a rider. I progressed a good amount this season, but I feel like I could have done better. That means next year I'll probably try too hard and get hurt, but that's the name of the game. At least I don't feel like I'm holding up my usual riding group.
When I do good I am never remembered. When I do bad I am never forgotten.

Season start date: December 25th

Season end date: Probably last last weekend but im holding out for just one more ride (thanks artificial snow!)

Favorite new gear: The scope and forces. Oh and my 686 snaggletooth 2. That jacket gets a ridiculous amount of attention.

Injuries: Slight tightening in the knee but thats really come after the season (though i think its slightly related)

Favorite spot you rode this season: Niseko. Grand hirafu flying into the trees from ace 2 quad lift into the nice huge bowl. Still cant ride it, but love the challenge. also loved nozawa, had a great time there.

Total amount spent on lift tickets/passes: i honestly have no idea, but it werent even close to cheap.

Random Thoughts: Great season with stacks of progression (thanks scope and forces). Got to play in some seriously tricky terrain and hit things that seem just a little out of my skill level. The exposure is invaluable and will carry on to next season. I also really got a taste for hitting every wall i could see this year. In fact, id say wall riding was really the highlight of my year. Again, its something im definitely looking to carry into next year when i start messing around in the pipe.

Finally calling it a season.  There's some good coverage at A-basin still, and i'll probably still head up there to BBQ but don't plan on doing more than a few runs a day, so i'm not going to count those.  OP updated.

Final tally: 41
