I am planning a trip next year over spring break with my dad and a couple of friends. We were wondering which resort is better. We are good skiers other than my dad who is a beginner. He won't be skiing much though

Wow, he contributes timely posts (usually 200-500 days after the most recent post), informative posts (usually 2-3 words that really do not help), is very friendly (shtook you and f*ck you), I want to ride with this guy (and push him off a cliff).

Seriously, is "f*ck you" really an appropriate response?  If you're too dim-witted to come up with a good smartass response you're better off just leaving well enough alone.  Post some more "f*ck you" messages and let's see how long you last here, trying to earn your 5 little daily points with the absolutely worst posts in the entire interwebz.

I agree with ctoma.  these Necromancy of long dead posts needs to stop.  there is a lot of good, solid info out there in the Trusnow.com ether and it's there for information, not revival.

I get that everything on the internet has been covered 100 times over and most the threads here are rehash, but mostly they have good/new/funny info and we can learn from it.  these 10 word spells out of the Book of Dead don't add much.

Agreed and disagree.  I am perfectly ok with someone bringing back another thread as long as they are actually posting HELPFUL information in the old thread.  People get bashed constantly for creating new threads for topics that already have 100 threads, but when they bring back old ones they get bitched at too.  Obviously there is no need to post THANKS FOR THE INFO in an old thread, but I'm cool with someone asking a follow up question, even if the thread is a year old.  I'd rather have that then a whole new thread to be honest.

Point Wh0res are something else entirely, and they should go waste their time elsewhere.

Review his (jribeirojrrj) posts, 9 out of 10 posts are reviving threads that have been dormant for over 200 days.  This one in particular was dead for 522 days before he drudged it up.

I don't have any issues bringing up old posts if someone has something truly relevant to add to the conversation.  But posts like these gems are pretty worthless and obvious point-whoring:

buy summit pass
My boots Burton Ruler is fantanstic
i going to the Heavenly in Fev/2012  (same post in 2 different threads)
I Like Cartel
I like Breck and Keystone

It's just sad because, really it takes an extra minutes, maybe two, to actually post a constructive comment instead of garbage like that.

Yes, if I find a 300 day old thread on, let's just say, going to Winter Park.  I have a question about side country access that wasn't addressed in the thread but a few of the repliers have some good knowledge on the place.

At that point it is appropraite to do the following:

I know this is an old thread, but I'm headed to WP later this year and wanted to know if there is any side country or good BC stuff around?  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

it would be even better to send a PM to the folks with the best posts in the thread as they might not be active on the thread any long.  I have done this lots with my Japan trip planning.

but saying the following:

Winter park sucks.  it's for skiiers.

doesn't help nor do anything, and that is what ctoma and I are saying.

yea...this is pretty inaccurate.

Vail launched a campaign a few years ago to set Keystone as the family, kid friendly slightly cheaper resort. They have done just that with Kidtopia, a snow castle and tubing. They do boast the park with some larger features and what may seem like more jibs features but ultimately it is all of Breckenridge's parks crammed into one section of the mountain.

Breck is home to the highest lift in north america, taking you to some of the more advanced terrain that comes with that. Also host to the Dew Tour in Colorado as well a much livelier night life for adults.

Dude just wants points.  His more informative post like the one mentioned above, is so far off base that it shows he has very little knowledge of what he is talking about.  I doubt it'll change him, power tools just power along.
