The same thing happens to me.

Same here for me too, I assume it is a forum script error that sierra needs to fix. I couldn't find the forum where you could post problems. To go around this problem right now, I just modify the quote tag to make it what I want to do.

Well, I appreciate the fact that I am not alone. This is the only site I can think of that has this problem, I wonder why this is such an issue...

I gave up manually typing it

Some people have crazy user names so doing it manually is kind of a PITA

Why are you talking about some other thing that applies to a different forum? If you were saying highlighting the text you want to quote and hitting the quote button, it doesn't work. If you are saying hitting the quote button above the post you want to quote, it doesn't work. The only thing the quote button does is would put in quotes the last post in the thread; that is why people are complaining about it.

If you are trying to say something other than that, then I am confused about your post.

There must just be a problem for some users the, quote function doesn't work for me. As previously suggested manually fill out the appropriate fields or put an @ or re in front of someones name like @grunge : hi :).

I used u grunge cause you're the one I saw using @ and it works a treat :)

The countless other post, and this quote, doesn't prove the quote button/function/method works. It just proves the quote BBcode works since I just manually put this quote here.

Sorry it doesn't and I am glad to see that the quote button works for you. For some other people on this forum and myself, it just doesn't work. That is why this thread is here. I think people, at least myself, in this thread knows about the quote button. The problem with me, at least, is that when I hit the quote button, it for some reason quotes the last post and not the appropriate post. I could show you screen shots, but I don't think it would prove you anything since there is nothing to prove that I have written it myself or the forum script produced it for me.

just to clarify - even though I hit quote on the first post, your post (which was the last at the time) came up.

I went to internet options and played with my settings in case there was some scripting problems but haven't had any luck yet.

I can take a screen shot but don't know how to post it up. I don't know if it will tell you anything, you are just going to see the last post quoted.

I also tried go to the drop down post options and hit "quote Razkul99" it still quotes your post.

I appreciate you finding a way who to fix that shit. I was confused at first i was looking at my browser to see if there was a control panel and looking all through the menus and was even going to look at  internet explorers option. After a few days and about few minutes  i realizied you meant on  the website.
