Little Ole Me can you fix that on my account too please? I have always wondered why my quoting never worked. I tried to change that option myself but I didn't see it under edit profile. Thanks.

Go to any Forum page > Control Panel (should be to the left of the "Live Chat" link) > Edit Profile > Scroll down to Forum Preferences.

The only problem I have is that I want to quote a single post, but it will quote everything from that post, including any previous quotes. Then I have to go in and manually strip out the other quotes that I don't want. It's a PITA, but I suppose it's not the end of the world. My WYSIWYG editor has always been enabled, so this is another problem altogether.

That's a problem that you need to deal with. Or just don't quote someone who's quoted others.

Cheers for the tips - works well. It was a pain to cut and paste... And I have asked staff before and got no response on it. Thanks again.

Oh wow, finally! Real quoting instead of manually typing the quote tag! Thanks Jenn :)
BTW, you should probably enable that WYSIWYG for new accounts by default from now on, if you haven't already done so... there's no downside to having it enabled that I can see in any browser. That way less people will complain about it.

Okay I guess I'm mentally challenged but I just can't find this WYSIWYG editor on my profile page. More specifically where is it? Did it change with the new profile pages?

Scroll to the top of the Forum page, click "Control Panel" (should be under the "Live Chat" Yellow button). Once in Control Panel click "Edit Profile". In Edit Profile scroll down to "Forum Preferences". The WYSIWYG option should be the fourth option. Click "Yes"

Gosh, thanks for this forum! I would never have gone searching for a thread to fix the quoting unless it showed up in the first few pages of the forums like this :P

Bumping for the apparently huge number of people that still don't know how to get the quote function to work correctly.
