Next year over spring break i am planning a ski trip to Colorado. I don't like a crowded resort with long lines, but like long runs that are somewhat hard. I don't like moguls and like a little terrain park. Would Vail and Beaver creek be a good choice. Are there any other goods ones. If there are tell me what the resort is good for

Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin... I like all of those better than the two you listed.

Here are some reasons(IMO, of course)

-- If you are driving out of Denver, you will be driving by all of these resorts to get to Vail. Vail is big, but also draws more of the "tourist" crowd... which you pay for with your wallet and the size of your lift lines.
-- A-Basin is my favorite and has some seriously nasty terrain. That mountain gets great snow and because it is generally more difficult terrain than your average ski resort, lesser is the crowd. Breckenridge tends to be less crowded and has lots of opportunities for longer runs. Keystone is a smaller mountain but has night ops which usually means it is the least crowded.

Just my .02, I moved from Colorado to Utah a few years back.

Ummm, Breckenridge sees more skier visits than any resort in North America.  Definitely the most crowded.

A-Basin is rad, but small.

Vail has a few spots that get crowded, but it's huge and spread out.  You can definitely get away from the crowds.  On a big powder day, hitting up Blue Sky in the morning is a good call, then move back to the front face.  The front side of that resort is practically ignored and the trees hold powder all day long there.  Beaver Creek is great, but it's not a really great spring destination.

Copper is another good spring riding spot.  Lot's of slopes that good sun and long runs.  Lifts do get crowded there too.

Loveland will be the least crowded and probably the cheapest.  On the busiest ski day of the year this season, I was riding up to the lifts 90% of the time.  When the crowds were bad, I had to wait four chairs to get on...

Spring break=the busiest month of the season.  After April 1st, the crowds go way down, unless it absolutely pukes...

All my coworkers go to Telluride and they love it but I've never been there. It is not close to Denver and has its own airport.

I was in breck for spring break this year and it was very crowded except for Peak 10. I would recommend steamboat it usually not crowded at all and has some great runs at the top of the mountain where the base is where all the newbies will be.

It always baffles my mind how people even go about finding threads like this to post in.  Stick to the "Recent Topics List" if you wanna spam your way to free shit and not piss people off.

Yup.  The problem with them is they never bother to come back to the same thread twice.  So they never even see this "advice" that we try and give them.

^^^I know English is not your first language, but don't get agitated by other members.  They are just pointing out the obvious when you bring up an old old old old thread.  You posted for the points.

If somebody told you that points were discontinued would you still be posting in that thread?
Did you google it?

Thanks this info is helpful. I'm trying to plan a spring break ski trip but would like to avoid huge crowds as I'm still a newbie boarder. I was looking at Copper Mountain, Telluride, Steamboat, and Loveland. Any comments on these places would be helpful.

:)
