The 250 has a 200 gallon spray unit in the back for tree care. So I can't get to crazy. Water weighs a lot. I run a small business just me and a helper. I happen to work on some Ford properties. I have always loved Fords and Mustangs. The Stang is the hot ride here along with the Challenger and Camaro.

I'm sure supasteez does not have a new one. The new taurus is a whole re-designed car that is actually better than any honda or toyota it competes against. I admit the old taurus did stink for a while kinda like the toyota does now.

^ ^ I was just joking around shock. :)
Agreed the new taurus is WAY different, I've seen one in person. Not sure why they kept the name though lol.
...^ you drive a bike or ride a bike :P I was going to post that smarta** comment earlier but realized the wording wouldn't match very well :) |

Thanks Wingnutx. Yeah, between Solo2 and track events, really the only reason I got the Z. Also a reason why I kind of left import/car tuning...the whole scene was inundated with poseurs with ghey paintjobs, knock-off parts, 300lbs of audio/video equipment, and drag/street racing cars with double wishbone suspensions which were meant for tracks with turns. Fools wouldn't know a heel/toe shift on an off-camber turn if it spun around and kicked them in the arse. Next car...I'm hoping for a Boxster Spyder...not the quickest but rewards driver with fun and agility.
Gotta tell ya, the car is on its second motor and I need a 3rd longblock which is why it sits around. I did drive it this past weekend. I hate Nissan...red-headed stepchild of Japanese cars. Blech!

Sounds like rear wheel drive. Also perfect color. Very nice blue.( I might be a little bias, I'm posting from Ford Country) With gas prices going up I hope american car/trucks like this can be sold here. I see a market for it as gas prices rise. |

To my knowledge, until 1997 and the switch from the S6 to the V6 (and 4->5spd) it's mechanically the same car. That means the same turbo (biturbo Messerman iirc) works on both. Now, if I only had 10k to drop.. ;) Our other car is a W123 1983 300TD. Sucker's only got 160k on it, gonna get a cool 300k more out of that baby. It is just about the slowest car ever made. Priuses are faster off the line. |

I have been practicing my heal toe shifts, I got a little rusty over the winter. My first track day will be the weekend after Sierrapalooza. For my son's 20th birthday I let him do a driver's ed event in the Porsche. This was his first time ever on a track. There is a saying that you never lift in a turn, which is what he did. I was the one taking the pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

A learning experience right there. That's the scariest, snap oversteer as a result of your natural desire to lift off. It's so counterintuitive to apply throttle to "drift" out of a corner or maintain power.
I envy you...some day I'll be back on track. Car looks sweet by the way! Porsche and BMW have some excellent clubs and events. Lucky.

Dont laugh. I garentee my fuel economy poops all over yours :) and no you can't fit a snowboard in the back .. yes you can fit it inside the cabin if you lay the passanger seat back and drive with your torso twisted side on. |

This is my daily driver, '97 Taurus LX Wagon, 3.0 DOHC V6, 225K+ miles. This thing has gone everywhere and done everything. I've had it for I think almost 4 years now and it's been my only car during that time. Countless road trips and boarding expeditions have racked on the miles. She's still running strong (for the most part) and I'm really hoping to push it to 300, although I fear it probably won't happen.
Following 2 pics are from the North Country Hillbillys (NCH) car show last summer. Pretty sure the date stamp was a few years off.
![]() ![]() These 2 pics are the latest I have:
![]() ![]() "Performance" "mods":
-Just got the SHO wheels last week
-Old school "TAURUS" mud flaps
-Chrome tips (factory duals!)
-Typical stereo (speakers, amp, subs) w/ custom amp mount (pics to come)
Future Hopes and Dreams:
-SHO front bumper/air dam (hoping to find one)
-removing furthest back windows and tinning over to make smooth, painted to match (will happen with the front end; for paint reasons)
-V8 SHO motor swap (huge dream)
*Note - The strap on the Thule box is indeed holding it closed. My key broke off in it and we ended up popping the rivets apart to get it open so we could ride. Frickin' lame, but it worked.
