Thanks.  Coming out of college it definitely wasn't what I was thinking of as my first "real" car.  However, I got a sweet deal on it from a friend of the family and also picked up boarding right around the same time.  The 70/30 split rear seat makes it so nice for laying the board(s) down in the back.  Still room for a single 12" box and several bags of gear.  I ended up scoring the Thule box this past summer at a used sporting goods store by trading in an old board and bindings.  It turned into one of the best investments I've ever made.  I can fit probably 7 boards with bindings in it if I line them up carefully, and it also allows us to get 5 people inside now, comfortably and legally (f'n MN laws), as well as room for a dual 12" box.

 

This is my "other" ride, a 1985 BMW 325e.  Not sure the mileage, nor do I care, really.  It doesn't run.  My dad's loser gf ran it out of oil, TWICE, and f**kin' killed the engine.  There's no compression and the tranny seal leaks.  On a positive note, the tranny fluid leaked all over the bottom of the car while driving and coated the rear 2/3 of the car, thus preventing rust!  Awesome.  Anywho, I scored an engine and tranny (w/ a 5-speed!) a few years ago and am finally getting around to making it happen.  I got the car for free as a hand-me-down/"if you can get it running it's yours" thing, and the spare engine and tranny was like $500, so it's a pretty cheap hooptie!

As you can tell by the last one, the junk engine and tranny are now gone.  Another weekend or two and we should have the "new" setup in there.  If for some reason we can't bring it back to life, we're gonna go to plan B: dropping in a Ford 302!
