Yeah it suppose to hit 85 today and tomorrow. We have one resort left open, but not for long with these temps.

Yeah its supposed to be beautiful the next few days here in MD too. I am really itching to go, but I think the closest resort open to me is at least a 5 hour drive.

It gets pretty warm up at Timberline by mid-to-late May. Lots of people riding in just t-shirts. The idea has crossed my mind to make cutoffs out of a cheap pair of snowboard pants, but I haven't gone through with it yet.

It's gotta hurt if you fall in shorts though... Depending on the conditions, can't the snow cut you? I guess the key would be not to fall.

^ At least they're offering discounted tix now. $70+ for spotty conditions wouldn't be worth it.

Yeah snow burns definitely hurt. I'm sporting 'em on both elbows plus a sunburn on my face from riding in NC on Wednesday.

Yea, I definitely got sunburn last weekend. Just had a co-worker ask if I went boarding last weekend... she's like "the bottom half of your face looks really tan"... love it.

It wasn't 80 today, but it was hot enough for me. I was sweating just wearing a base layer.

Yeah spring boarding is nice as hell other than soggy conditions and the snow burn, but you cant deny how fun it is to be able to be out in just a t-shirt. Fly back in to VA nxt Friday with hopes to getting to some resort within a weekend trip time prolly have to be nothern PA, NY or VT by then.

Utah still has several resorts open with new snow just about every day this past week with a forecast for more throughout the coming week.

Only 6 trails open with 12-20" base at my local resort, I'm actually really surprised there is any snow on the trails with the past week of 60 degree days and rain we've had.
