Mike Says: As Jeremy Jones gets older in age, his snowboarding gets better. Jeremy Jones has defined modern freestyle snowboarding over the last ten years. I dare day that the Burton Jeremy Jones can make any customer ride as good as the man himself. Jeremy designed his board to give riders the freestyle edge all over the mountain. What I mean is, if you buy the Jeremy Jones board, you have the ability to treat the entire resort and a terrain park. With the Burton Jeremy Jones, you can expect a smooth, comfortable, yet stable ride in any condition. I recommend this model for experienced riders, who have the skills to back the technology in this ride. The Jeremy Jones can become a great tool for your takeover of the sport!

Jeremy Jones 159 Limited Release with EST

http://www.burton.com/LTDCollection.aspx

I got this board a week or so ago and just had it shipped to Seattle versus risking not getting it at home when I traveled out to Mt Baker.

As a funny joke, my friends stickered it before my arrival (at like 1am to Glacier). They had all sorts of ugly stickers on it. Needless to say it took me about a 1/2 hour to get them off and put on the appropriate diecuts.

As you all know, I think EST rules. The retro compatible discs IMO though don't seem as sturdy as the actual EST set up. I mounted my board no problem and was ready to rock and roll. From the condo, the graphics on the board look sick. The black with the pink is just amazing. And there's so much detail in the base graphic.

After one run, my back binding came loose (as Shaka said). I rethreaded the screw and tightened it again. It never came loose again.

The board rocks! I was worried that it would be a total noodle, but it was super fun. The tip and tail kicks are perfect for the park and for really soft snow. The conditions at Baker were super variable from hard hard snow pack to slushy soft snow. It performed well. The extra length really let me crank on this board without much fear.

And of course it has some nice pop for ollieing and performed like a champ in the kiddie park. I'm excited to take it back east and see how it performs.

The EST let me get my exact stance. And it was super easy to set my stance back slightly after the first day. Effortless.

I'm really excited to put a pair of EST bindings on this bad boy.

I really am digging this board. Not sure if it's the right board for you, but I'm really happy with it. Smile

I think it's a great edition to my quiver since I have a shorter twin (RT 55) and a longer stiff freestyle board (Suprateam LH 60).

Sintered Vision Base
Super Fly II Core
Triax Response Fiberglass
10:45 Sidewalls
Pro-Tipô
Includes E.S.T. Disk Compatible with All Burton Bindings

next years JJ is so good its disgusting.  The EST system is great but the EST bindings are not.  Once the system has been around for a season or two in the mainstream Burton will realease some other EST models but for now they really arnt that great.  not as bad as the P1s but not great.

the board itself tho is killer.  the only thing better in next years line up IMO is the Uninc which is obscene its that fun.

one note of warning: the JJ 159 LTD with EST is not forward compatible with EST bindings.

That doesn't make any sense.  Why would it even have the EST slots on it then?  Confused

Like I said, I don't buy/keep a board for the graphics.  I'm more about how it rides than how it looks.  I've got no problems if you buy boards just for show.  Shocked

What about the Vapor?  Too stiff for my tastes.  AK 2L/3L?  Please elaborate.

you get the infinite adjustability of EST, but can't use the bindings to get the better flex, baseplateless experience, possible baseless experience.... Confused

i asked about 5 different people associated with Burton.

again i love the board, just wish they had made the channels about 2" longer each.

Yeah, it's funny because I went from freeride -> freestyle -> park.  Just so happens that freestyle/park hard goods are cheaper than freeride hard goods.  Smile
