    Posted: Apr/11/2010 at 12:56am
Hello, is there any information about the plans for 2011 sierra boards?

I'm mostly interested about crew and reverse crew, will they continue to be built by burton and modeled after custom and custom vrocker? Also is there going to be any new additions to the sierra lineup?

Trying to decide if I should wait for 2011 lineup or grab one now and use it next year..

If you're mostly looking for advice on gear, this should be in the gear talk section.  As far as whether the Crew and Reverse Crew are going to be made by Burton next year, I'm going to have to say no on that.  Burton terminated their vendor agreement with Sierra a little while ago, hence why all the Burton stuff is cheaper than you can find it anywhere else.  If Sierra won't be selling Burton (in the near future), then it stands to reason that the Crew and Reverse Crew will no longer be Burton based.  Buy now before they're all gone.

As for new additions, people have been spouting off what they would like to see for collaborations next year, however very few things have been finalized.  However, you can be sure that Sierra has a complete lineup of boards that appeal to everyone.  I'm just stoked the Sierrascope is coming back. Wink

I hear Burton and SS parted ways, so I wouldn't expect boards modeled directly after the custom or custom v rocker. Plus, the new Burton lineup doesn't have a custom v rocker. I think they may have a custom flying V, but I may be wrong. I haven't looked at the catalog in a while.

You're not going to get anything from the staff more than, "we're working on next years lineup, and are currently in talks with a few companies".  I mean, Tahoe is still getting snow, the season isn't over, and they have until next season to finalize collaborations and get them in production.  Some of the Sierra boards this season weren't available until Dec/Jan and later this season.

At these prices I'd just get it now.  I'm tempted myself to buy one but my budget can't justify another board.

also praying sierra and mervin have teamed up!

that's one way to take out burton's market share.

quality product with a quality pre-made distribution channel. win win.

unless of course burton and mervin are intertwined at some corporate level.

I picked up the crew because of the insanely cheap price. Now I'm banking on your strategy for a RC (although the price is still really tempting).

Don't understand that some PPL are speculating what happen next season.
I am sure the SS-Team is already making some plans for the new line up and will present it here when the time is ripe for it.

We can expect some nice boards with nice graphics.

In the meanwhile you can make bada**-deals on the 2009/2010 series.
Enjoy it and TAKE IT EASY.
The time is coming sooner than you think.

Peace!

I actually like the matte finish on the Reverse Crew.  It does seem to show marks pretty easily, but it looks unique, and it's grabby to the point where a stomp pad is completely unnecessary.

yup you're right,  instead the custom V-Rock is now the process basically

I'm excited to see how the Flow Colab board turns out, I hear the staff is raving about it.

Regardless I'm picking up the '11 SScope. One hell of a board and a lot of fun to play with.
