WOW...... I can't believe Burish said this, you can't call someone out who is at Prongers level when you played 18mins total over 3 games and then were a healthy scratch for the last 3.

Dear Chris Pronger,

I think you are the biggest idiot in the league.

Signed,
Mr. Nobody

Pronger is an idiot but Burish just made himself a bigger idiot by saying that on a national broadcast. Very poor sportsmanship.

More athletes should be like Armando Galarraga (pitched the almost perfect game last week).

Completely agree the Pronger is an ass (he is also one of the top 3 dmen of the last 10 years), and if someone wants to call him out thats fine.  But I just think it should be somebody that actually plays.  Not some 4th liner/bench warmer.

Will be good to see these teams go at it next season after those comments if they meet. I think they usually do a rematch of the finals teams.

Congrats Chicago, the wait is finally over. They definitely deserved it.

Ugh ... now I need to wait four months until the new season starts.

Beautiful move and shot by Kane at the end, soon as he got it i knew he would end it, his style of play is perfect for OT.  Congrats to the hawks for their great season!...and even to the flyers, the players and fans were classy last night despite their loss to the blackhawks

Yeah, booing Conn Smythe trophy winner Toews as he received his trophy was totally classy.

oo my bad, i didnt stay up that late to see that presentation i turned off the game after they confirmed the goal and everyone was cheering for the flyers for their season

I knew seeing philly fans being soo nice was too good to be true haha, them booing sounds more like them

Hawks have 1-2 more good years left and then they are done.  You just can't keep, Kane, Toews, Keith, Campbell, Seabrook, Hossa, Versteeg and others around while staying under the cap.

In fact after doing a bit more research they are already at next years cap and only have 14 players signed......something will have to give.  I guess they can dump huet to the minors (that saves 5.6 mill) but thats about it with out trading someone.  They will have to make huge changes if they want to resign Seabrook after next season.

i guess it depends on who's contracts are coming up.  But, I don't like seeing the same team win the cup the next year anyway...

Both Kane and Towes have already signed contracts for a 6.25 mill cap hit and Keith has a contract for a cap hit of 5.3mil that all start next year. Seabrook only has one year left on his current deal and will be expecting a big raise.

Rook, that is what happened from 50 years of cheap management from Bill Wirtz. I think he possibly could have been more cheap than Jeremy Jacobs. Must be why the Bruins don't have any REAL hope of winning the Cup.
Once Baby Wirtz took over though, he opened the checkbook and look what happened! Three top picks and some good free agency grabs and now a Cup. They need to unload Campbell and Huet's contracts though. How ironic is it that the players they paid the most for(Campbell, Huet and Khabibulin) a few years ago did very little to help get here?
I have a great sense of humour. I'm also entitled.

Yeah, remember that it was not too long ago that ESPN named the Blackhawks the worst franchise in professional sports.  And it was with good reason.  One NHL playoff appearance in 10 seasons before the 08-09 season does not cut it.  I myself stopped following them closely during that time.  Plenty of room left on the bandwagon.

No matter where you go, there you are.

Ya I guess I am just used to Canadian franchises.  No matter how bad the team is (Looking at Edmonton and T.O.) the buildings are still full.  Wirtz was an idiot but seriously they are an original 6 team I can't believe true fans would turn there back on them no matter how bad they were.

My point is Chicago all of a sudden has lots of hockey fans.

If shitty team/ shitty management means no fans in Chicago how come the Cubs get more that 3 fans per game?

Both Campbell and Huet are untradeable basically, they will have to bury them in the minors to alleviate cap space.

I was in Chicago once about 10 years ago and went to the united centre and bought tickets like 5 mins before the game started....

the place was empty.   I loved it.  Got to pick where I wanted to sit and the tickets were cheap.  And they were playing Edmonton - one of my fav teams.

I remember thinking, how can this team survive like this?  No body watches the games.  But, 10 years later, they win the cup.
