hey bdenny4 how on earth could you piece that together? haha maybe having almost exactly the same name... what's your name on there?
can't remember where i found that.. but i thought it was hilarious!!
i wish we had a cool boarding forum based in australia...there's lots of internet arguing on that site.. and sometimes you wanna put your 2 cents in... but i always lose arguments...so i don't try =/ haha

lots of melbourn-ites it seems... if i lived in melbourne, i would gamble my money at the crown, and then buy excellent ravioli with my winnings =D

aussieboarder, that's a nice place to live... at least you get surfing in the summer... something on my 'to do' list to learn...
(good snorkeling at shelly beach/cabbage tree bay too!)

I'm in Brisbane.
Joined this site at the end of 2009 when I was looking for a jacket for a trip to Japan.
I have only boarded twice (once on the Japan trip) and loved it.
I couldn't resist the sale prices and bought a heap of stuff last week. 1 package arrived today and the Flow Merc I bought should arrive tommorrow.

When the FedEx guy dropped off my package today, there was another sierra box in the van, so some other lucky Brisbanite got a package today too :)

thanks snowflake, love the snokeing at shelly (only 5 mins walk for me :) ) and spear fishing off the rocks at deadmans if your into that gear. You been snorkeling at shelly before?

Surfing is great fun, love it but somehow my true love is still snowboarding, maybe cause i'm a better boarder than surfer.  Been taking the long board out recently and getting some nice small summer surf on the the turn of the tide

Surfers paradise - The home of drunk f-wits.

Going to be riding in nz aug 2-10, then Utah in Jan feb 2011. Don't ride in oz so much, way too expensive for what you get, it's a shame. looked at perisher for this season and it's costing me less for all expenses (flghts, car, lifts, accom) to head to nz. Not sure about Vic (hotham etc) prices, prob just as exxy I'd think. Got us by the balls!

Anyone keen to meet in nz or Utah (the greatest!!!), just say the word.

I'm from good old Canberra. I'm lucky the nsw fields are pretty close so I go to perisher most weekends. I leave at 5am and am at the snow just as the lifts open :)

Have been seriously considering a trip to nz for this year though. The early bird deals will be finishing soon though.

Got another Sierra package today - new boots and they fit perfectly (it was risky of me to not have tried them on) Another girl at my work got a Sierra package yesterday too :)

Yeh i saw a price for 7 days to NZ including flight, accomodation, car hire and lift passes for $900 today on the net...way cheaper than going here.

Nah, I was rock climbing (bouldering) in the grampians.  It was really stupid, got essentially to the top, but was feeling a bit sketchy about the last move and didn't want to take a fall, so I downclimbed and jumped off from what I thought was a safe height, but landed on a branch and ruptured a ligament.  Its particuarly annoying because my mate tried that same route later and said the top out was the easiest part.

But its healing pretty rapidly now, so thats good.

sorry to hear that mate, i did something similiar last season, well the ankle not rock climbing....

the physio gave me this really hard exercise (its simple but acheiving it is hard) and it helps alot with strengthining your ankle, i get alot of people to do this even if their ankle isnt sore

stand on one leg with arms raised in T formation. the goal is to stand still for 1min..... simple i know...... but do it with your eyes closed. not so simple now huh?

once you get good ad that on both ankles stand on a pillow and do the same exercise.

what i also do is even now in bed on here i stretch and rotate my ankle to promote good circulation ect.

hope this helps, even a little :)

I just moved from Brissy to Sydney.

How many people do the drive from sydney to the snow for a weekend?

I was thinking of leaving friday nights, and coming back late sunday arvo- just sleeping in the back of my ute down there, is this possible/advisable?

Also do you need chains to get the snowtube, ive only ever boarded in NZ so would love the assistance, thanks
