i hate the awkward feeling when two guys talk about something personal (sex with a girl) while i'm chilling there trying to mind my own business. one guy brought a snowball with him and actually tagged someone with it from far away. that was actually REALLY impressive

lol..  I've had that happen on high speed quads and high speed sixes. weird considering how low those lifts go at the end.  I had someone offer me pot while on the lift. I wasn't annoying but weird..

As someone who boards and skis  .....

As a skier its the boarders who have few skills but think they are great, gets tiresome having to avoid them as swing their boards around taking 90% of space and then have them crying when a skier needs anything over 20% of the space.

And as a boarder its the fools who stay in the unload zone  as if they were the only people in the world.

Probably the lift line... That is where most of my cosmetic damage comes from. But I guess it is inevitable

The lines getting on. D-bags that keep hitting your board. Is it really necessary to get as close as humanly possible to the person in front of you!

There is always going to be bumping in the chair line and your board will get nicks and scratches. It is a fact of life.

What's annoying in the lines are when people get into line but then stop moving because they are waiting for a friend and everybody has to go around them. If you are waiting for a friend then DON'T GET IN LINE!

There isn't much that bugs me on the chairlift I like the conversation, but I'm in the midwest so if they are annoying it only lasts a couple minutes. Also for all the people that don't like the newbies, well we were all newbies at one point.

Same for me.  Happened a couple of weeks ago and it just happened to be on the longest lift at Sierra Summit.

As for the people who are talking shit about people falling off the lifts when they get off... your saying when you first started you never fell?  Get over yourselves.

I typically don't pull the restraint bar when I'm riding and forget that some people prefer it. I don't have a problem when people I'm taking the lift up with want to use it, but I hate when they yank it down before people can actually get in position for it. A little courtesy goes a long way.

as i was gettin on the chairlift... these kids were coming up behind us, gettin ready to get on the chair behind us.

they held on to the back part of my chair (the lap bar) so it would pull them forward. as they let go the bar came down and bonked me on the head. i was more annoyed than pissed.

in the lift line i've seen a father use his own son to cut. he told his son to move up forward past everyone and when he got to the front the dad followed and said "i have to get my son."

what a douche. should've knee'd him in the nutts so he wouldn't have to worry about catchin up to future sons.

Teenagers who think it's cool to cut everyone else in the lift line. C'mon doosh, I know your mommy and daddy bought your season pass, so head to the back of the line like everyone else.

It also bugs me when lifties don't acknowledge you. I always thank them or try to have a little chit chat if things are going slow. Most of them are super chill but every so often you get the one dude that acts like he's way too cool for his job.

People in serious need of a chill pill.

The guy offered to let you smoke, on him, and you say he's a douche and he should gtfo? All you need to say is no, thanks. Or if you really care then just ask that he not smoke/not blow smoke in your direction.

I hate when the chair stops. There are always long lines where I go, so it's really annoying just standing around waiting for it to start up again. Second thing is being on a full chair with a stranger being mixed in my group. Mostly it's because I'd like the extra space to sit if there are only 3 in my group on a 4 person chair.

Being goofy footed and sitting on the right of a regular rider. We both look down to put our feet on the board at the same time and knock heads. It isn't painful, but when you both wear helmets it knocks you over.
Bring it hard or don't bring it at all.

Opposite of some replies, I usually don't like talking to strangers much. I like the peacefulness of just riding up the lift quietly, leave me alone!

Also, when people rest their legs/boards against mine is really annoying.. makes me have to partially flex or extend my leg the entire way just to avoid the extra weight.
