For those with multiple boards/quiver

Do you actually bring all your boards with you when you go shred?

I'm trying to justify having more than 1 board. Everytime I look for a board, I always look for an all mountain since I ride mostly in a resort nearby (less than 1.5 hours). Being in So Cal I don't expect a lot of powder days so what's really the advantage of multiple boards?

I have the Burton Custom V-Rocker right now which is fun for every sort of terrains on my local mountain. If I want another one it'll probably be a total park board or a stiff one for carving but I don't see myself bringing more than 1 board on me and then switching boards throughout the day in a resort.

I usually take 2, what ever board I want to ride for a while, and the Hero that I always go back to every time.

I have 2 boards. If I'm only going for one day, I just bring the one that I feel like riding (based on weather conditions and which resort I'm going to). If I go for multiple days, I can fit both in my bag and can make a choice of which to ride in the morning before I depart for the resort. I don't bring both and switch during the day.

If I'm driving, I'll bring two.  My cambered one if it's not too slushy, and a RC board.  If I'm taking the Greasebus up, then I'll just take whichever one I think will be the best choice for the entire day.

The reverse crew that I've got is awesome, and great for all-mountain stuff, but for speed or steepness, I feel much more in control on a regular cambered board.  I'd probably go for that over the park noodle unless you're planning on jibbing a lot.

I'm still trying to justify getting another board next season.

My Custom V-Rocker seems capable to handle anything but I abuse the hell out of it. 6-7 days of riding and it got chips and I need to fix my front nose already. Seems like I should just abuse one til I can't ride it no more and get another awesome all mountain after that.

I need a reason why people use multiple boards, most probably it's because I'm not at that level of riding yet that I need a certain board for a specific need. I know what I want if I'm looking for park specific or carving specific one.

Í'm a relaxed guy, so i just bring one board. but you should be able to ride diffrent boards if you feel you need the variation from day to day(if you never tried a diffrent type of board you must atleast rent one to see if its worth buyng that type for that place). the most relax way and best way is if you have a friend with simular size, just bring a screw driver or if you got the channel system move his bindings to your stance and then you just switch boards after lunch. thats pretty cool don't you think. anyways if you are some kind of local pro you'd better bring as many board as you can everyday to be able to be the best at every terrain on the mountain to not lose your street creed, ya digging?

I've brought 2 with me before. A long flat camber board and my custom v-rocker. Started out on my flat camber for the powder day and after one run switched back to the custom v-rocker so I was glad I brought 2 on that day. I still need to give the flat camber more of a chance but will have to wait until next season.. If it doesn't work for me, I'll probably have to pick up a cambered board next season..

I have two boards and 3 sets of bindings.

most of the time I will bring both boards with 2 bindings. usually as back up if one happens to break. on big trips I always bring both boards, one for regular riding (Palmer Burn) and the other in case it snows (Ride Timeless)

Depends on the resort and how I got there.

Occasionally I'll bring two, usually just one. I can gauge what I feel like riding most days, or at least what the weather will dictate. My "local" hill also has a board check, so I often take advantage of that if I'm bringing two boards-- check one while I ride and not have to worry about it in the car or on the board rack...

I personally just bring one board with me - would rather not bother with transporting extra equipment and switching boards in the middle day (maybe I'm just a bit lazy).  Sure, some boards are better suited for certain things than others, but it's usually still a fun day whatever board I'm on, and can just take a different one out next time.

Even if I'm travelling, I usually have my main board and might take the powder board early in the season and a fun board later in the season.

For HK snowboarder, all of them only can bring One and Only one board for outdoor resort.

I live in east coast but I usually take park and all mountain boards when I go to CO or UT.  If you have two light boards,  your baggage will not go over 50 lbs.  Speeding down on the park board is not as good as stiffer all mountain board.  I have yet to find one board that can do it all, so "yes" if you do different stuff, you need multiple boards.

Since I'm usually in a car to go to a resort, I bring two.  I ride Mt High (socal) so I bring a rock board and another board.  Usually I go through the resort once on my rock board to see the conditions before I bring out my other boards.  

If I'm going to Mammoth I just bring one board (all-mountain board) since space is limited in the car because I'm always carpooling.

Depends on how far I'm going and how long I'm going for.  If it's just one day or a couple hours of night boarding after work I'll typically bring just the one board and go to the mountain with a purpose in mind depending on the conditions or what I want to do that day.  If I going for more than a day I'll bring 2 or 3 boards so I can be prepared for variable conditions and can mix it up and experience all the mountain has to offer.

I check the weather reports and usually bring one if its just a day trip, two if is an overnighter or something like that. 

i have two complete set-ups but i usually just bring one board,

i have 2 sets..and only bring one, depending on the conditions..just check the snow reports from the resorts before making the trip and bring the right board for the condition.

on a good day, i try to get 3 boards out, 1 for the whole mountain, 1 jib stick, and one big-air board.

I usually will just bring one board mostly b/c of room issues. If i am driving I would bring 2 of them maybe but I have been riding the Sierra RC and it is so much hard, it is hard to bring myself to ride another board. 

I had 2 this season I'd switch out

A Burton Twin for park(please stay the hell away from burton)

And a Head ? for powder.

the burton is no longer alive and the Head is hanging in there.

just get one noodle for park and one larger board for pow, preferably one with a set back stance option

oh and I have one pair of binders and I just swap them out b/w boards
