I'm too scared to try ladder but I am loving the custom games. Income Wars is a current favorite

Don't be scared! Laddering is fun & easy. Battle.net would quickly find opponents of skill level similar to yours.

Yeah. I wouldn't worry too much about the ladder.  The main game is really fun and complex. Give the 2v2 or 3v3s a try.

FFA also provides lots of fun and entertainment. Just don't be too serious and concerned about winning it :)

carebear,
What's the point in cracking it? The most of the fun is concentrated in multi-player part, which is not working without license.

wpiass,
Wait, what? SC3? I thought there would be 2 addons before, a Zerg campaign ("Heart of the Swarm"), and a Protoss one (I don't remember it's title).

SC2 is a legit game. Climbing the ladders isn't too hard either. Battle.net does a pretty good job I feel like of placing you in a league with comparably skilled opponents. Definitely one of my favorite time killers if I have nothing to do.

Theres still going to be a zerg expansion, and the a protoss expansion off SC2. Sc2 is supposed to be a trilogy. Maybe you are thinking of Diablo 3?

Yeah I doubt there will be an SC3 anytime soon.  I think that the expansions for SC2 are a year apart and as of a month ago the developers said they don't even know how SC2 will end.

yeah, hahaha they might not even make it in the next decade. sc2 is huge right now, why build something new when you can expand on something great

There will be 2 expansions - one for the Protoss campaign and one for the Zerg campaign. I doubt multiplayer will change too much with them, though.

Nah not out yet, but it was always part of the original plan to release the protoss and zerg campaigns on the anniversary for the next 2 years.

GSL finals were 2nite, didn't get to watch but going to see replays now heh.

yes the release, pretty pissed of because of that, $$ making scam. But you know, so much of my friends quit the game because they thought it was too repetitive. l'm debating on leaving soon also

I don't get to play enough for it to even feel repetitive, but I feel ya. Mutas and Voids get old fast.

So I know I am a week behind on this, but the new patch is great! :D I love the decrease in build time for observers.  Does anyone use the chat channels? Maybe we should make a sierra snowboard channel

I'm a fan of the game, but my laptop struggles to play it. It'll often crash.  I think I'll have to give it another shot when I get a new laptop next year.

New patch doesn't change things that much. Though the removal of void ray speed i think was a good one.
