Depends on what type of vid you're making. but here's a few that i like, all but Gillie I found in snowboard vids

Gifted - N.A.S.A.
History Goes - Le Peuple De L'Herbe
Kids- MGMT
Get Down On The Ground - Gillie Da Kid
Got to Give Up the Dancefloor - DJ Earworm

Its something you need to decide, depends on the sections of the vid and the tempo. Very Very subjective.

i would suggest vivaldi ), as in the "Care. Dare. " ad (check it on a youtube).
Also, "The xx - Intro" is good for beginning.

How about some 80's music with strong bass (Peter Hook - New Order, Joy Division, Monaco)?

here is an example of what you should never ever ever do when it comes to music for a snowboard video.  and the music in conjunction with the editing and riding makes me want to have someone smash my entire head with a sledge hammer.

also never ever do this.  this one is unfortunate cause some of the riding and filming is good.  but the song?  holy god.  and please make sure you get to the screaming parts so you realize its not just some whack techno-ish-whatever beat.

and THIS here is exactly the type of "rock" im talking about that destroys any credibility the video might have had.  not really because of what the song is, but the whole feel of the song.  its just........ so very very bad.

Wow that vid had it all.  Shitty music, Bro screemo music, and (my all time favorite feature) far away shots filmed with fish eye.

hahahaha far away shots with a fisheye are sooooooooooooooooo rad

the only exception is when youre filming with a fisheye they way you should, the dude kinda rides out for a bit, and then comes back in.  i have a shot like that that i think its rad.  cool perspective, like you can feel the rider dip out and then come back.

defo a mix of songs is good, a fast one and a slow one. In another thread someone was saying how even a crap song ends up being one you like if the footage is good enough. The example he gave was Kids by MGMT which I didnt like that much either until I watched travis rice enough, now I like the song. Not sure that would apply to the vids posted by spenser tho!

i guess it would depend what time your riding and where on the mountain, when ever im just riding through trees having a chilled out ride then its all ways Mt Eden i listen to, nice chilled dubstep but when im good enough for the parks then im going to be listening to faster stuff that gets me more in the mood.
Choose the music to fit the scene and the style of riding. Either way abit of Mt Eden is a must but thats just my view as i love it. When your the only person you see on the slope having a chilled out track with enough bass kicks ass

Have to agree with the MGMT. Everyone was using their songs, especially "Kids", for awhile. There were certain edits that I had to mute because I was getting so tired of hearing that song. It's not a bad song but I have no idea why people kept using it when they had to hear it in other edits.
