Well, as its coming to the near of the season down under (half way through the school year), I thought I may as well start looking into my gap year. I am wanting to go to Banff (am I being to picky?). I have been looking but google is failing me. I have looked many places and don't know where to start looking at how much accommodation is, what sort of jobs I could live on, and the such. All I am really asking is for a website or a contact detail of someone whom can help me with this sort of biz. I have also looked at those program where you pay 600 bucks and they sort that out for you, but as my birthday is in September I am in-eligible to get a WHV by the time they want. So I sort of have to work everything out on my own! (Unless you can help me of course).
Anything would be appreciated and many thanks and virtual blow jobs will be given out if you can help me!!! |

Hmm, Banff is a pretty specific place...I've been there once, lovely place but... I'm not sure how many people on these forums actually live near there.
You might get more help if you widened your choices. For example, quite a few people here are from Vancouver. There are some other threads here about visiting/living in western BC, most of them about Vancouver. |

I agree, no sense in limiting yourself to one specific place. Do your homework (which you obviously are) and find what's best for you. Good luck!

Thank you, I have done some research and at this point in time, Banff seems whats best for me, but I will defs take advice, someone's 2 cents, if they have something on Vancouver, and the mountains around it.

If you get really desperate:
http://www.owh.com.au/working-holidays/10/work-and-ski-canada-winter/ But the easiest and most flexible way is to just organise your visa online, book a flight and get over there in late October in time for businesses to start their intake of staff for the winter |

Yeah, I can't get there till mid December tho, but hopefully I will be able to spoon a job that hasn't been filled yet xD
I will have enough money to live by myself for a month, but i will need some sort of an income after that. Just a place to stay is difficult, as its a relatively small town :( |
