Do it for the kids

i must say yes to this brilliant thing...

this is a great organization to give children an opportunitiy to snowboard. Sadly l cannot donate my goods because they are brand new (l'm a 1yr exp snowboarder). I wish that the event is successful and more children gets to try out the sport

Donating old gear to give to low income families with children that never had an opportunity to go snowboarding is a really good idea.

There are some big kids around here, believe me. Any donation can be a tax write off. I'd definitely send a receipt of some sort stating that an individual has donated x item(s) estimated value of $xx.xx. That could be used as a write off for sure. Another good point! Thanks for that.

Sounds like a really good program to me. I can't believe people voted NO.

So the first day of the program is scheduled for Saturday, January 22nd. I've had the kids go out and get people to sponsor their efforts for the program and will put whatever they raise towards purchasing their own outerwear which they will get to keep for themselves after the program's completion. Since the mountain is gonna provide us with rentals, it has alleviated a ton of stress on the financial side of things. Also, by going out and getting their own money, I'm hoping they'll take more ownership of the program and in turn take the program with a degree more of seriousness.

Gonna get them all to take a look at TruSnow.com for gear and see if I can get them involved on the forum as well!

lol. as of now, all the mentor spots are filled. but perhaps next year if i'm able to make a great impression and keep this alive... everything's full throttle now!
