Since the 2010 NBA Playoff thread turned into a where will LeBron James end up thread I figured I'd make it official.

Feel free to direct your comments here and vote in the poll.

I saw this morning that Bodog.com is taking bets on this, but none of the payouts are good enough to put money down, unless you think you have some inside information.

I have a feeling he's gonna stay with the Cavs. I hope he doesn't though, the league would be more interesting if he went just about anywhere else.

if lebron means what he said - that his goal is to win multiple rings - then he'll go w/ a contender like the bulls. if he's just looking for the limelight, he'll end up in new york or new jersey.

LeBron wants to win, period.  As much of a spectacular player he is, the team wouldn't have picked up players to support him as a Cavalier.  So, where would he go with a team that he would best fit, and a contender...as jkats said, the Bulls.

Did you google it?

Lebron is a very loyal guy and I think the prospect of leaving the Cavs without bringing a Championship to Cleveland might be too much for him. Everyone wants to leave behind a legacy and I think Lebron's would be to bring a championship to Cleveland 'cos if he doesn't, no-one else will. I suspect he'll stay as long as Cleveland gets a new Coach, gets rid of Shaq and Ilgauskus and brings in better, more reliable shooters to complement Lebron. Eitherway, the Lebron Sweepstakes should make for a pretty interesting summer.

I would prefer to see LJ stay in Cleveland but I have a feeling that he is gone. I think he would love to play for the Bulls like his hero. I know the the Knicks have money, but I don't think he would go there because they are a joke. Same with New Jersey. I don't really know where he is going.

As Joakim Noah once said "Have you ever said I'm going to Cleveland for Vacation?"  LOLLOLLOL  Bron Bron's only loyalty is to $$$ because he wants to be a Billionaire.  So he is going to either NY or Chicago where Nike wants him to go.  In my opinion Bron Bron ends up in CHI-TOWN!

Dont underestimate Pat Riley's ability to get Lebron in Miami. Im not saying its a lock by any stretch, but Miami is in the running. Dont be surprised if he ends up in the 305 with D. Wade. Lebron has a lot of respect for Wade and they are friends, played together for the Oylmpics and if Lebron wants to win a title quickly Miami is a legit option!

in my opinion lebron should go where dwayne wade is going. in those terms he would get the best chances at a championship. because at this point i dont think it about $$$ for him anymore, its the rings or lack of.

He should stay with the Cavs.  With his endorsement deals, money shouldn't be the primary driving force.  He does more for the Cavs staying there, and drawing more talent too him and the city.

I really think he is going to the Knicks, I don't want him too but he is pretty serious about his 'Brand' and there is no bigger than New York.

I don't know for sure where he'll go, but I doubt he'll stay in cleveland.  He wants to win championships and that's not likely to happen there.  As folks have already tossed out, Chicago & maimi, both have folks that can put in contention next year.  The knicks are more for the big market, although, it would be interesting to see lebron play with T-mac.

Lol at LeBron winning championships by heading to another team.  Neither Chicago or NY become instant championship contenders just because LeBron gets there.  Sure, they'll be top five, but Cleveland already has that.

Personally I think he goes to the Knicks simply due to the marketing opportunities.  The one thing LeBron cares about more than basketball is building his business empire and he knows he needs to be in NY to do it.

Edit:  Also you have to look at the coaching issues.  Chicago doesn't have one since Del african american is getting fired, who are they going to hire?  D'antoni is an awesome players coach, which bodes well for NY's chances, but can his style actually win a championship?

Has everyone seen the ''Please Stay LeBron'' video?  They did We are the World with a bunch of local celebreties and political figures.  I like how they make fun of the Knicks and Nets, but I can't help but think this is only inflating his ego more.

Stay in Clevland where he's king. If the cavs lose they'll still love him. If he played in NY and loses, Knick fans will want to hang him.

hes had more than 1 bad game in that series.. i doubt he'll go to the bulls and have to live up to MJ's legend. All he talks about is loyalty so he might stay in Cleveland, he'll lose alot of home fans but will gain some when he goes to another team, i hope he stays and Cavs get Bosh or Amare

I hope Lebron stays in Cleveland as well, but I doubt it will happen. Also he won't got to the knicks because they are terrible. If he goes to the Knicks he is saying it is more important to sell shoes than win titles.

I don't think that's true...the knicks would sign other good players, like Chris Bosh.  Look at the Celtics before KG, they were a really bad team...but then they signed KG and Allen and in one season they had the best record.  The knicks are bad because they don't have anyone.  If they sign Lebron, they are already better, and if they sign someone else (possibly Bosh) then they might already become a contender.  By the way, I hope they don't...I hate the knicks.

If LeBron wants to win a chamipions ship he needs to go to a contender like the Clippers or the Warriors. Maybe the Timberwolves.

Definitely.

fail fail fail

I really hope this was sarcasm, or else maybe we should review the meaning of "contender".

He should go to Portland, to make up for the Sam Bowie incident. Portland can deal Oden to the Cavs, then they'll have 3 worthless big men.

Wow, you just now figuring this one out?  They've only been spending the past 2 seasons blowing up their team to get cap space for it and hiring a coach that was known to be a favorite of LeBron's.

LBJ is not better than Kobe, Kobe has won championships, while LBJ hasn't. I think this playoff proved that Kobe is still the best player in the league. LBJ has more raw talent, but Kobe has way more skill than him.

Well Bosh might sign where LBJ goes, which means that his choices would be narrow down to Toronto, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and New York Knicks. But LBJ isn't going north of the border, and the Lakers cannot afford him unless it is a sign in trade. I cannot see LBJ living under MJ's shadow, so I don't think it would be the Bulls.

One option I thought would be a cool idea for LBJ might be, as an "expert" suggested, that he go sign a 4 year deal, with opt-out clause on the 3rd year, and then go to the New Jersey Nets, which would be in Brooklyn at this point, and end his career there.

Lebron is going to be a Knick. The team sucks right now, but when they add Lebron and 1 more big time player they will automatically be a contender.

He won't go to Chicago because he will always be in Jordan's shadow.

He won't go to the Clippers because he won't compete in the same town as Kobe.

He won't go to the Nets because its not the same as winning for a team like the Knicks.

I am tired of hearing the Kobe Vs. Lebron talk too. Kobe has way more years in the league, AND has a way better team then Lebron ever did. I bet if you put Lebron on the Lakers and switched out Kobe he could win a championship no problem.

being from Ohio and just FN DYING to see one of my teams win something, would be great to see LBJ come back -- I can't force him to do it, I certainly wouldn't want to live there anyomore after a couple years in tahoe. . . . .
