Skeptical at first, figured the parents would just point her and have her go down the slopes but she understands heel side turns! Now if she can toe-side... DAMN! Props! And dude, she has style... already.

Kid is already better than me.   Her pants are way too tight though, she needs to get some gangsta sag.

I have 6 months to go before my little girl turns 1.  While I'm not sure that I'll be putting her on a board so soon, this is encouraging.

No matter where you go, there you are.

That little girl is awesome. Give her another year and she will be shredding. There is a little girl at Mount Snow who links turns and goes down the blues. I think she is 3-4 years old

I predict Onesies being a new fad on the mountain hahahaha.

I wish my parents let me snowboard when I was younger, but we lived in SoFL so that wasn't an option.

Crazy! I would like to know exactly why her parents started her that young, but it's super impressive to know she can board before she can talk.
Bring it hard or don't bring it at all.

Wow...pretty amazing (and cute too).  Glad to see her in a helmet a little later on in the video.  I'm guessing toe-side turns would be difficult for her right now since her feet are so small in the bindings....

interesting, but I wouldn't put my child in a snowboard so early...

so many kids being fearless in the slopes, no sense of responsibility or consequences, they're a danger to themselves and others Dead

I don't think this is a problem at all.  These parents probably just want to take their kid out to the snow and start enjoying the things they do.  I think it's admirable.  This kid is barely going down a hill.  If she falls, it won't be any worse than if she was walking around the house.  I mean look at that smile on her face.  She is having a fabulous time.  That is KEY to keep your kids coming back for more.
I personally haven't started my kids and will probably start them on skis (as I've heard it's easier for them).  My oldest will be 4 in September and he will be starting next year.  We are probably going to take turns watching him, keeping him warm, and keeping him fed.  It will allow each of us time to make our turns and enjoy ourselves and watch him having a blast.  If it works, we'll be trying it with my daughter the next year.  She will be 3.5 when she starts.

I see young kids all the time rocketing down the hill but never turning, it's like they don't know how to stop or turn. The most important thing I was concerned with when I was learning was how to stop.

That was totally amazing. I love how at about :30 she almost sketches out but saves it. She reminds me of a pink marshmallow Peep rolling down the hill.
Nothing to it but to do it.

Seriously! I started boarding a year ago when I was 27; I'm convinced it would've been easier to learn when I was younger.

She's already way better than me!  I didn't know that they made boards and bindings that small.
I'm sure her diaper help pads her falls. haha

So cute! I like her giant baby head and her tiny baby legs. She's pretty good.

(It's funny that her binding highbacks go halfway up her little baby thighs.)

Do they not make baby goggles? I was wondering if her eyes would get messed up from the sunlight reflection from the snow.

When you're only falling from less than a foot no padding is required. It really matters when you're older and 6'1" like me; I've got a MUCH longer distance to fall before I hit the ground and break something LOL

That little girl is freaking awesome! I do not think I would start my child that young, but it's awesome that she seems to be doing so great at such a young age.

Since I don't have any kids of my own yet, I am buying my nephew a board for Christmas next year. He will be 2 in July, so I am not ready to take him out this winter yet, but next winter when he is 3, he'll for sure be getting a board and hitting the slopes with me. He's a little dare devil, so I know he's going to love it.

I agree. Once she catches a toe edge it's face plant time. At least they've got her in a helmet for the 2nd half of the video.

Adorable.  I'm amazed she has that kind of motor-control already.  I hope her parents aren't stage-show parents that suck the joy out of riding for her, though.
ROLL ON, BISHES.
