haven't been there for years so no good advice from me -- but the drinking age is 19 (which was better than Ohio when I was that age) so you have to like that

you can always check out the history if that's your thing.  although toronto isn't that old a city relative to places like rome, there are still nice places to visit.

union station (go on the tour), casa loma, etc

a lot of good asian clubs, shop and walk down younge street (longest st in the north america) plus it's where muchmusic is shot at (canada's own mtv), look for concerts that weekened ie at the guverment or kool hause, go up town to the biggest asian mall ever Pacific Mall (maddd cheap fake dvds), there's a lot of trendy bars and restaurants by the area where mtv canada is shot...message if you want more details... Smile

If by any chance you're in chinatown, I'd definately stop for some viet subs. Usually pick up 20+ whenever I go to toronto because they're so good :D

T-DOT is all about food! Tasty and CHEAP!
When in china town stop off at lee's garden on spadina for some good'ol fashion "family style" eats..
If you hit North York.. your in korean town.. get a pork bone soup at the owl (on yonge near finch) it's a 24 hr joint.
After that, stroll south to empress for bubble tea at 168..
Richmond hill.. hit a bbq pork rice plate for $5.. next to the Mcdonalds' infront of timesquare.. best in town.
Dim Sum.. Casa Imperial for high class plates you'll never get anywhere.. even the dishes are lined in gold.
Google any Pheonix restaurant chain for your nearest 1 plate meal.. or get their deep fried peanut butter sandwich for breakfast..

enjoy!

If you were hitting up toronto for some basketball and things to do at night, try going to Platform 2(typical asian bar, with dominoes, cards and dice) or you can go to where the fun is at and hit up the clubs in the entertainment district. Lot 332, Guvernment, Frequency come to mind. Frequency may be where alot of the asians still hang out, but i stopped going to clubs a bit ago so i am out of the loop alittle.

Enjoy the food, it's cheap and very good. Too bad it's so hot, but if you crave hotpot, 100 degrees in richmond hill is amazing, alot better then icook and rolling pot. I would also take an hour and a half trip to Niagara falls, if you like to go see the falls and hit up the casino. Shopping at yorkdale, pacific mall and yonge/bloor would be a great experience.

So many things to list, some other notables, the toronto zoo, toronto island, CN tower.

Hope you have a good time, some of my friends are probably gonna be in this asian basketball tournament.
