Interested to hear what people think are the lightest snowboards and bindings out on the market. So post your list of lightweight snowboards! I'm talking about the lightest boards, not just below average weight. I'll start here and update with suggestions
All-mountain/Freestyle: Burton Vapor Burton Method Ride UL models Elan Inverse (billed as lightest on market) Rome Design Amplid HiDef Park: Signal Park Rocker Nitro Haze Freeride: Palmer Honeycomb K2 Zero (claim to be lightest) Bindings: Ride Contraband Union Force MC Burton C60s (billed as light, but my 05 pair dont seem that light compared to some new models) _________________________ Personally, this year looking to ride more lightweight boards/bindings setups due to Grade 2 PCL injury to my knees. Dampening is a big plus (such as Harshmellow from K2 and Slimewalls from Ride). So, does a good lightweight, damp freestyle snowboard exist? |

putting certain bindings on certain boards are preference. the only things that don't cross are stiff bindings onto boards you want to butter and really bend. you can mix and match everything

A) I never said I put C60's on a freestyle snowboard? Just listing lightweight bindings regardless of flex. B) It's all preference. Who said you can't put stiff bindings on a board? I rode C60s on a Burton Custom and loved that ride. |

really people care about light boards in the park. A lighter board might be nice but would be the bottom things i would look for. I would rather have a bit heavier board that is stronger. When I picked up the Signal Park Rocker, i didn't think it was lighter than a average board.

i dont see how anyone can notice weight differences.
i ride 90% park, and the wieght of my set-up is not how i pick my gear. people must be really weak to notice differences while riding. anywho, as far as picking a board up and holding it, ive noticed my capita boards in hand feel lighter than all of my other 8ish boards ive owned. |

Certainly not a top priority when picking a snowboard, but certainly a factor. I'm more interested to see what tech and construction is used by each company to lighten their boards.
IMO, there is a big difference between lightweight and heavy snowboards. i enjoy the ride of all type of board weights. T-Rice for example is bit above average and i still love it for charging. |

I know I saw for a couple years the Rome Design was the lightest board on the market, actually lighter than the Vapor.

basically every mervin board feels "above average" compared to other brands in weight. but their decks are amazing quality.

Amplid Hi-Def might be the lightest board in world. It's pretty damn light.

Eh, I'm more concerned about breaking the board than it being lightweight.
