Australia has none. Cry NZ currently has more than Australia on a bad year already.  I'm kinda regretting booking falls for a week for similar money we could of gone to NZ.  Oh well.

For all those about to hit Wanaka this season, here's a few pics from the area up and around Snowpark yesterday.

Unfortunately we were given our marching orders from Cardrona,
I'll try to get a few more pics up before season starts.

Coronet opened on the 5th and the Remarkables opens on the 19th, pretty much everything else is the last week in June.

I've been checking the online cams and it's looking nice - but I'm hoping they get another decent sized dump in the next couple of weeks to build on what they've got. Ohau is only reporting a 50cm base, which doesn't seem anywhere near enough for that place.

Same. I'm actually getting a little concerned because I'm over there in just over a week - and without a fresh fall it'll mostly all be hard and icy.

I've heard it is normally cheaper to go to NZ.

The fields around Queenstown and Wanaka are usually wall to wall Aussies :D You can't ride a chair without hearing a 'stralian accent.

At least they're not as overrun by Aussies as Whistler or Big White in Canada.

Just got back from queenstown.....

had a crack at remarkables, cardrona and treble cone. Remarkables has a sweet as terrain park, the rollers there are unreal for building up ur jumps ability (they are huge).

And yeah, pretty much packed with aussies....

im off to nz this weekend for a week, and i havent really looked at any snow reports or anything - i just know that it's going to be better than what we have gotten locally here : /

looking fwd to it :D

actually a lot of it could be just wanting to get away from work for a while. just me and the snow topped mountains.

The heli skiing looks incredible. My mates went recently and apparently rich internationals are on standby and get preference if there's a big dump....
