    Posted: Jun/06/2010 at 12:19am
What does the forum think?

Suggestion: organise All Australian Sierra Crew Mountain Days (yes we welcome any OS visitors as well). Let's put up a few dates when many may be able to get to snow fields in Oz and get some photos, video etc - hang out have beers (those who are legal of course).

Chance to start a tradition??LOL

You see the photo of the Sierra Crew - think we should have our own.

Think we aim for dates in August - best chance of an epic day.

I put my hand up to organise Perisher Day ... I ever throw in a BBQ, beers etc at my house.

As many of us on Sierra boards - I have decided on the Sierra Team board for the season.

OK ... Forum do what you do and post your thoughtsClapClapClap

Happy to catch up for sure. Will be heading down Jindy and Perisher a few times this season and will be bringing the first international giveaway free Sierra Stunt for a workout at Mount P......which lead me to buying a few G of new gear also(I've become a board hussy now at 4)

Thats the way to do it.  Once you experience mid-week, there is no going back to weekend skiing.  Particularly at places like Buller that get stupid crowded.

Great to see some interest ... I work 5 days on the mountain and have 2 off. I am in a fortunate position where my job allows me to be out boarding most days ...

Encourage others ... would love to out do the Sierra photo on the there website.

I would love to (I had planned to come down to perisher) but I got a new job last week and I don't think asking for time off within the next 3 months would go down well.

Awesome fellow Oz Crew Sierrans ... 5 or 6 and counting.

Should be an awesome hang out ...

More details as we get close ... will wait on the weather and pick the best possible, most likley to be some powder day.

If you post again, please indicate weekend or week day - that way I can narrow it down a little

Come anyway - more about getting together all those who participate and know about Sierra.

Hey Bro, I saved up heaps in the summer, to buy my perisher super pass with train, and live in Canberra. Be heading up as much as possible this season (last season I get student prices) So anytime really is fine, although weekend would be preffered, although I'd gladly miss a day of school to board with all the Sierrarians :) haha. Also, anyone living in Canberra, Cooma Quenbeyan area, would gladly give a lift... Infact check this out.

@ Tank'donSnow

How about you collect dates when people will be down there.
I could help if you need.

A PM from people stating your current planned dates i.e.

"6th Aug to 13th Aug"
Or any Day trips etc.

Mention any potentially helpful or interesting info like.. any friends your bringing along or other forum members etc.
If you have a Sierra board or not.
If you're taking an SLR or not etc etc

Then based on when everyone is down there, pick maybe 2 or 3 days where the peak amount of Sierra people are there. Let everyone know that on those days we are to meet up for a "Sierra AUS Community Photo". Maybe some food and beer, what ever the general consensus is

Edit: Don't spam Tank'donSnow until he agree's to this !!

I like the way you think ... would be a nice touch. Maybe a show of strength in the forum by all those wanting to attend would encourage more participation from Sierra.

Think another aim of the Ride Days should be to bring a friend who is not aware of Sierra and introduce them the buss that is Sierra. Might have a few demo boards for the day as well, so we could get you on one.

Some come bring that Burton Hero ...

Maybe do some board swapping on the day as well, if everyone is cool with that. Good to ride different boards.

No need for teams ... if someone in VIC wants to organise a day at one of the VIC snowfields then get it on ...

I live and work in NSW snow fields so I will organise one for here.

Hell if I can I will get to VIC ... to join any day organised down there.

We represent that second biggest portion of the Sierra Community and would be great to get together and demostrate it.ClapClapClap

At this rate it doesnt seem like its gonna happen this year is it?

We need more Aus regulars that use the site to jump on and check this post,
Tank'd needs more info for this to happen i reckon.

People who are interested, invite friends, (amount of people)
Then suggest dates / times.

Maybe link up through Facebook or something?

Ps. I know i cant make it this year, but i love the idea of SS members getting out there and meeting each other. I'd be happy just to see a Australian SS group photo.

@ Koji

Be assured it will happen tis year ... the thread will get there. I start things and definitely finish them ...

We will do some promoting when the snow starts falling some we can lock in some possible awesome and epic powder days ...

I will ask Sierra to post the information through their facebook page and we could drop posts on a couple of other Australian Facebook pages eg. Perisher, Snow NSW etc I have many of them linked in my Facebook account.

I am a master at organisation and making things happen.LOLLOL
