I'm interested, and I need the low down from someone who has "been there, done that". Argentina or Chile? What region/resort would you suggest? Do you know any websites that offer killer deals? I'm seriously entertaining this idea and would like some feedback, thanks in advance!

Hey hello.... I would suggest Portillo www.portillo.com up in the Andes between Argentina and Chile. An other alternative would be Valle Nevado www.vallenevado.com. In general ticket prices vary between USD45 (weekdays) and USD60 (weekends-hi season)
If you are looking for hotels, both places have their own resorts, but , it will depend on your budget or in case you cannot afford to stay in a hotel…how quickly you make friends.
