Even tho the Jets lost, looks like they might be around for a while. Sanchez is improving (but still average) his receivers had some key drops and didnt finish their routes at times.

Their defense played better in the 2nd half but the Steelers offense became predictable. Almost all run plays to milk the clock and protect a 20+ point lead.
is it just me? or is common sense not that common.

I can't believe all the sports talk radio idiots going on and on about Cutler.  I was listening to Mike & Mike this morning at the gym and they were BLASTING Cutler.  now it comes out that his MCL is busted.  we'll get a "oh...my bad" out of all of this after harpooning him for 3+ hours.

I'm not a Bears fan but how this is going down is bullshit.

Hey as far as I'm concerned removing Cutler from that game was the best thing they could have done.  A healthy Cutler was getting rocked and doing nothing, a one legged one wouldn't do any better.  Not everyone is going to play through a torn ACL or a broken ankle.  I think the problem was the way he was acting on the sidelines.  If he was cheering his team on and not looking like one of the vampires from Twilight all sulky and pouty I dont think the same backlash would have happened.  Look what happened to LT when he did the same in the playoffs, he was totally lambasted for weeks.

I agree. But they even got on him because he was standing, watching and cheering later saying he shouldn't be standing if his knee is injured. It was a no win situation. Of course Culter's reputation didn't help.

what incident with LT are you referring too?

If I'm thinking of the same one he looked more like he was more upset about not being able to do anything because he was hurt.

Nope.  this just helps cement his legacy as a non-team player

i love the bears. and i totally new they werent going to win. my reason for that is they have everything but a good QB. great defense. consistent run game. average wide recievers. but a female genitals QB. who gets out of an NFC championship game because your knee hurts.

The Jets have a long list of free agents and if there will be a 2011-12 season, some of them are going to want big pay days.

Its the playoffs, you are one win from the Superbowl. If been can play with a broken foot and nose, if T.O. can comeback and be wide receiver with a broken leg, then JC can play with a SPRAINED knee. Mind you no surgery need, just rest. If he can walk on the side line he can play. He is suppose to be the leader of the team.
I getting a little older and been playing flag football. I pulled a hamstring on the first play of our "Super Bowl" and still played most of the game. After the game I couldn't do anything for three months. But if you are a competitor you suck it up.

I've pulled a hamstring before. It sucks. Played soccer an entire season with it nagging me. But to question the toughness of Jay Cutler is ridiculous to me. BIG difference between flag football and NFL.

I thought the NFC won the most, so I looked it up and it's surprisingly even. Each conference has won 20 or the 40 since the merger. NFC has won 4 of the last 7, but the AFC was pretty dominant just before that.

I'll watch the game, sort of. I don't mind it being before the SuperBowl, but I wish they could do something to make it more meaningful. I don't have any answers though. I think it's more fun for the players (and thier family & friends) than anyone else. But I've been to Hawaii and the locals seem to really enjoy having the pro players come there once a year.
