Fantasy Football

Just wondering whos all playing this year? Have you drafted your team? Talk about anything fantasy football!

I think it is a bit early to be playing already since most people are not sure who is on what team.

a little too early for this one. can't do it because its banned at work (a form of gambling).

haha, we just started getting our league together. we do a dual qb league, half point per reception. im getting so ansy for the season to start. we will be drafting in august some time most likely. 2 qb leagues are pretty intense with 10 people. makes qbs wayyy more valuable. i really like knowshon as well.

look for matt ryan to have a bounce back year. also really like crabtree.

ehh if AD gets hurt. hes been healthy his career thus far

I usually join two leagues, but we don't draft until the week before the season. Rosters aren't set before then anyway.

It's never too early to talk FF And it's not gambling if there's no money involved... and why does work need to know what's involved

I play fantasy basketball.
It was fun.

I'd say it's a bit early to be drafting players already, but as a Dolphin fan I'm certainly happy that Brandon Marshall is on the team. :D

I'm hoping to not be playing fantasy football this season because it really ties up a lot of time and has me cheering for one player on a team and some really messed up situations.

There's plenty of time. Count me in when it happens. If alot of people want in, we could have more than one league or break the league into divisions. Lots of options.

Yeah, Im down!! I usually have 3 teams or so...salary cap and regular.

We haven't done our draft in my league yet, but if I get the 1st pick I'm taking Chris Johnson!  He's been awesome the last two years.

two QBs would definitely increase the importance of that position... maybe too much IMO.

I usually go RB, WR, WR, RB, QB  if I get a Top 4 RB.   Otherwise I go WR, WR, RB, RB, QB.  It's harder to get a top quality WR then it is a RB.  Each team can put like 4 WR's on the field for each play, so unless your WR is elite, their is a huge drop in scoring potential if you pick any WR after the 3rd round or the Top 10. 

If you don't get one of the Top 4 RB's you can wait until the 3rd and 4th round because even if the RB isn't elite he's only going to share the ball with one other RB rather then up to 3 more players as WR's do.  You can even pick the 2nd string RB from a team because a lot of teams use a 60-40 split with their RBs.  Now if I could get Brees, Schaub or Manning in the 2nd round I would jump on them, but just like RB's . . . . after the Top 4 or 5 QBs, the next 10 QBs aren't that much better then each other.  I've finished in the Top 3 regular season winning the championship once and 2nd place twice over the last 5 years using this formula.  

I have never played Fantasy Football before, only Basketball. Most of my friends do, so this year will likely be my first. I definitely gotta read and get my research on.

so...picking up a TE first is not a good idea? hehehe

my league drafts towards the end of preseason to eliminate Michael Vick risk (the year he broke his leg in a preseason game and was out all season).  We had completed our draft only days before.  

I always get so addicted to fantasy football every year.. and get way to obsessed with the most worthless stats to try and find the best players. I'm definitely planning on playing again..plus I was shown a pretty cool website with a different approach to players stats: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/ I'm not sure if its a well known site, but its definitely going to help come draft time.

What do you guys think of taking Steve Smith (Carolina) early in the draft (like maybe first 4 rounds). I heard he could be back by the last preseason game, but with a questionable qb situation, I wasn't sure even if he was at 100%. In one league that I already drafted in, he was taken pretty early imo (round 4)
