hmm, trying to go off memory here, but i'd say more of a "wheat" color. The graphics are pretty nice in person IMO, even though they did rip off Line ski's with the Artifact rocker graphics...

Pretty vague question man, you really need to narrow it down to the board(s) your interested in.

I would love to demo some of their boards.  Does anyone know if Rome will be having a demo stop in Tahoe this year...and capita too for that matter?

Thanks

Generally speaking a company demo is free, just need a C.C. and drivers license as collateral.

When store's offer demo boards, usually there is a fee associated because to them you are essentially renting a board. Most shops will, however, credit your "demo fee" towards the purchase of a board if you do indeed make a purchase.

Most all major (CA, CO, UT, WA, etc...) areas get company demos, you just have to pay attention to websites and keep an ear on the ground to hear about things maybe not so advertised.

Holy crud, the Agent Rocker is selling fast. My buddy wanted a smaller size but all the smaller sizes are gone. I settled for the 155. There will be future shipments from Rome right?

Too late for my buddy as I already bought it for him so he's stuck with it haha. (Nah, I asked him and he said it's cool) But still interested in knowing.

Actually I don't know if it was ever in stock. I saw it in the preview pictures so I figured it was... plus there are only 2 155s left.

+1 on that review thread.  I loved the 2011 Rome Artifact rocker.  Rode it a couple days at Windell's in June. LOVED it.  I' ride a Custom and I liked the Artifact rocker better than the Burton V-rockers b/c it felt like it had more control.  The other v rockers (burton and Salomon) were too squirrelly for me.

Every mfg has different ship dates for their gear.  I was at the Rome office in June when they were talking about finalizing the orders and shipping 2011 gear, so it makes sense that stuff is rolling in early August.  I'd expect 80% or more of the 2011 stock to be received by September 1st, and then be on the site shortly after, once accurate inventory and supplemental pics are done.

I'm diggin both models of the Anthem, those are sweet looking boards.  I'll have to keep my eye on those ones the prices start falling.

I don't think they've released a list of what brands they are going to have. But they have confirmed that they won't have any Burton, Ride and K2 sadly

I thought Nitro was independent and not owned by Burton or K2, so I think that they'll still be around.

Nitro is under the Jarden Corporation umbrella, as is K2, Line, Ride, Raiden, Volkl, etc.

Jarden pulled all of its brands from Sierra so there won't be Nitro either.

And thanks Scorer for the update on the artifact color.

Nitro is not part of Jarden.

anyways.. Rome bindings are in the mail on their way to us. and we have not received all the models of rome on order yet.. so there is more to come.

Other brands are starting to ship as well.

Volkl and Tecninca are partners, but not the same company.  for a list of brands under the K2 umbrella go to k2sports.com  for a list of all the brands under the Jarden corporation, go to www.jarden.com

either way, nitro is ultimately run by skier kooks who only care about dollars, according to a former employee.  i wouldnt have expected that from them, but to be honest i really didnt know if they were their own co. or if they were an umbrella brand.

Dang, I thought the rockers were selling too fast and I pulled the trigger. Oh well, I used the opportunity to get some things for me and the gf... and one of the hoodies only had 1 of the XS left so that was nice. I'll probably get another one in 153cm when they come in and sell off the 155cm. See what my buddy wants to do.
