ive been waiting and waiting for the 2011 union bindings to show up for sale, and today i see them up....but to my dream-shattering dismay, the contacts are only available on white/red.   what a cruel world.

(yes i realize the other colorways will be up eventually)

Really? I can see if there was snow and you could ride them, I don't think waiting a bit longer won't hurt any.

Whoa, thanks for drawing my attention to these! I have a red, black and white theme going on all my gear so it works perfectly! :P

Plus, I love their bindings after my current pair (in red and black lol)

yeah, I like some Union Binds..but color's off for my deck..and I'm not sure if the binds are going to be cheap..most prices are $199+..some people won't agree with the color..but other wouldn't care either..I'm betting these bindings will be sick regardless! I really like that Union/Capita collab

and for the Rome supporters

I was looking hard at the contacts but I can't deal with the styling this year. Hopefully they'll put out a straight black version.

I'm now down looking a Forces, Forum Republics, or Burton Cartels. Any suggestions? I'm coming off used gear and building a new set up for the season.

ElGuapo,

Forces and Cartels are basically the same binding just put out by a different company, and I'm not sure about the Republics.

With the description .. " The Republic is Forum's most popular binding and is a top choice for those seeking something versatile and durable at a reasonable price. This binding entails a mid-stiff flex for response and performance, super cush ankle straps for a comfy feel, and a lightweight construction. This binding pairs up great with more aggressive all-mountain boards and is best enjoyed by an experienced rider." it seems as though it wouldn't be far off from the forces, cartels, or the 390s by Rome. It won't matter much as to which brand you pick.

I wish they would've made a Force-based Ultrafear binding with last year's graphics.  I'd totally pick 'em up.  This year's look cool but the graphics wouldn't match my last year's Ultrafear.  That and the Contact baseplate doesn't gel with my boots.  Just sticking with my Force-based Frankenbinders for now.

Oh, the agony of not being able to spend money on brand new snowboard product when it's still August.  Eff... Clap

I don't know if it's my imagination or if bindings are starting to look like purses....some are fashionable, others have a great color scheme...maybe more like nike shoes where the color combos are endless.  I bet women would love the danny kass...if they like purple.
Did you google it?

I don't know why they wouldn't.  It seems like the sierra contacts sold pretty well last year.

spray over plastic will usually flake off.  No adhesion.  Sand and prime will make it last longer but spray paint in general isn't really that great.

There was a long thead about dye recently...it seems to be the best bet (but can only go darker for obvious reasons)
