Yuengling boards
Budweiser boards Bacardi boards etc. Every once in a while I'll find someone selling one of these... always wondered... who makes these? Are they meant purely as wall art or are they actually built to ride (somewhat) decently? I'm going to guess that these are given out as promotional items to shops/prizes/etc. |

i've wondered this myself and would appreciate the answer.
on a side note they were giving out jaegermeister and heineken boards in a competition at my local, never saw anyone win one but i guessed they wouldn't be great to ride on. (one of them didn't have any edges) |

I had a Malibu board and the structure of it appeared to be a Ride product.

How do these boards tend to be quality-wise worth anything at all? $75 sealed new for one of these peaked my interest for a gift to my litte brother onto his own board this winter.
That or i'll just buy a new board for me and give him my hand me down... but I heart my board so i dunno. |

it depends. usually theyre basic construction, probably around the normal $300 mark, possibly even less. it obviously depends on the specific board, though.

Most of the promo boards are absolute basic tech/construction. That's not saying they aren't quality, their just just not super fancy in terms of features and stuff. With that said, i do know some of the MT Dew promo boards are Burton Operators for sure and i think there is even some Custom-V Mt Dew boards as well. |

I see new ones alot for $100 or less on craigslist. I think they are given away as prizes, or kept by salespeople, who just turn around and sell them.

The Mountain Dew board was made by Burton and was part of a Mountain Dew promo campaign where you collected points from underneath the caps http://www.greenlabelgear.com/ I have to admit, the stuff they were giving away was pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind rockin the Board, or the Adidas Kicks or the Zoo York Hoodie. |
