"
I saw this post over on the Burton Community. Burton recently made a Vapor for a special order. They don’t say who the order is for, but given the massivness of it and the NBA season just ending, could it be Shaq is hitting the park?

This super sized set up was floating around the office the other day (en route to it’s really big owner), and it was so amazing that we had to take some pictures. The boots are size 22, the bindings were specially modified Freestyle’s (to put things in perspective, the toe strap is a L ankle strap…), and the board is the biggest Vapor ever made. In the pictures up above, those are size 9 feet standing on it with a fair bit of clearance on either side of the board, and in the base photo you can see that it needed more than one base sheet to cover the base. The mold we used to make this board was from a board that we made for basketball legend David Robinson, who is 7′ 1″. Shoot, that’s a big board! "

hm.. that looks more like a big ass custom with a vapor base print. Maybe its just me, but the nose and tail don't resemble the vapors shape at all.

On a side note, that sherlock looks dope.

The shape is not the same as the Vapor, but the materials/tech inside of it could still be the same making it a hybrid of sorts
I'm just here to look cool...

Hmmm, could it be Shaq Vs will be having a snowboarding episode? That would be hilarious.

Shaq ->

Listed height 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m)
Listed weight 325 lb (147 kg)

His shoe is listed as 23....so a 22 boot isn't that unlikely.

It is even crazier to see with a person next to it. I reminded of a picture I saw on here. I think it was Jen with an Arbor board. That things was huge and looked even bigger next to her.

it would be really interesting to try to find the biggest board you can and see how it rides. u would really have to put your weight into the turns but it will probably ride powder anything else like a w12 audi

WTF... size 22 feet??!  I don't even think Shaq has feet that big.  I mean he's a monster but... 22 just doesn't seem humanly possible.

Yea his feet are huge. I remember an all star game a few years back where he was showing off his sneakers. They really are that massive.

Maybe it is Shaqs board and he ordered it for that horrible Shaq Versus ... show.  It amazes me what shows get greelit sometimes.

One piece of advice -- do not ride the lift with this dude (unless it's a windy day, then maybe that's exactly who you want on your chair?). . . .

"With Charles Barkley, Nike concentrated its design efforts in absorbing the incredible shock generated when "Sir Charles" size 16 feet hit the floor."

I'm guessing it was just a shoe, not specifically his shoe?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As far as Shaq having that big of feet, it's true.  And I'm sort of in agreement with these people speculating that it's for his stupid ass tv show, I really hope it is.  It'd be so funny to see him catch an edge on that thing.

I grew up being obsessed with Shaq.  Was a retardedly huge fan when I was little.  Lately, tho, it's like dude, you're frickin' old and you suck.  Call it quits already.  And now he's at Boston with my homies The Big 3 (+1)?  WTF?  They better win the title so he can be done.

Either way, if they do use this thing for a show I can only assume it'll be SHAQ vs Shaun White, and Burton will have their crap plastered e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e...

If it was made for an athlete, they would most likely be retired, because I'm pretty sure that pro athlete's aren't allowed to do any other sports than the one they are paid for. I think it's in most contracts that they can't do it.

I know which you're talking about, but I can't seem to find it right now.

Even though the Doughboys, Grocers and Skunk Apes are long, they wouldn't be nearly wide enough for that size 22 boot.  They're relatively narrow, even though they're long.  And, that board doesn't look like it was built to be long, as much as it was to be wide to accommodate the ridiculously large foot.  They have it next to a Sherlock, which only comes in a 163 as the longest version, and that Vapor isn't all that much longer than it.

I'd put my bet on Shaq for his Shaq vs TV show.
David Robinson snowboards? That would be something to see. Couldn't find a picture but found a nba blurb about it. http://www.nba.com/spurs/news/robinson_feature_050808.html
