Sweet...cuz I have 3 Burton boards and I was not sure what to do with them.  I was contemplating put them on ebay but now I will just throw them away.

Maybe I'm playing devil's advocate but I love my Burton Mission bindings.  Politics aside, they still make a good product...I hardly think that pic is magazine-worthy.

Burton might not be the bad guy in this situation but
they are the bad guy in the bigger scheme of things....

turns out they dont force it.  they just do their marketing magic and word things like we "have to" comply with minimums, but i guess thats mainly what the rep does, as we dont really deal with burton directly when it comes to making orders (reps are basically a franchise, not direct burton employees, in a way).

i dont agree with some things they do, and you are right in implying that they have been the "bad guy" in certain past situations, but here and now, this was not one of them.  the worst thing they did, and the only "wrong" at all if you ask me, was letting sierra break dealer agreements for too long.  but at the same time, you probably would too, if that shop was buying as much product from you as sierra was.

''Have to'' sounds like forcing to me.

When shops are done ''having to'' buy Burton/Red/Analog/ChannelISland/TacoBell/BanRollOn
they dont have money to carry much else. That hurts
the little companies and progression. Cause we
all know Burton doesnt progress the sport any more.

They buy the companies that do.

What do I know? I am old and dont even snowboard.

idk im with fishkur on this...burton makes their share of good products. i just dont get why everyone is hatin; for a lot of people if the boots bindings or board works then thats enough. some people just dig shreddin doesnt matter what product they ridin
