Yes, because those great deals were in violation of vendor contracts. That's the same reason no other place has the same sales is because they abide by the contracts and don't break them. |

Their pricing is not so good and they try to pass stuff off as amazing deals. I remember a few years back seeing some 3-year-old 5150 board being sold at 30% off. And of course the sellout risk on EVERYTHING is "Extremely High." On top of that their UI is not good.

Absolutely agree on the UI. I never pay attention to the sellout risk stuff over there, so yeah.... As for deals, isn't that how the "industry" is supposed to work.

Even by the industry standard it's kind of weak. Beyond just other web sites (not counting Sierra, evogear and backcountry/dogfunk for example), I've probably seen superior pricing at most local shops I've been to except the really small ones. I also went down to their retail location last year to play around with the new 2010 gear and wasn't that impressed with customer service.

I used to like the house..still do..recommended both TH and SS to many people..matter of fact bro just ordered something from house..and my gf is just about to as well..she can't decide yet what boots to get..honestly, I used to order everything from the house for years..even the beginning or last year I got almost all of my 2010 gears from them prior discovering SS..after surfing SS site, I found out that they were selling all the products I purchased from the house wayyy lot cheaper..Called the house for a price adjustment which, after a long series of struggle with their cool aid customer service, they finally gave me a store credit for the difference which was almost 3 bills!!! HUGE PRICE GAP huh..lol..but it is what it is..what can we do now right..so for that store credit, I went on another snow clothing galore!! even spoke with "dave" too! I guess he's their equivalent of doug of SS lol..cool cat though! seriously!
