For those of you who remember my girlfriend's baked goodies from the thread I made awhile ago (http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=35360&PN=1 <--- pictures of cakes, cookies, etc...)

...she entered a cake contest. She submitted pictures of her owl cake; please rate it a 10 Hug

Voted, she's got an amazing talent although I was disappointed not to get to sample the cakes this season Danny, next season fo sho. Also badger cake would be way more steezy than an owl cake. Just saying LOL

  1. JUDGING: All eligible entries will be judged by a panel composed of employees of Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding on all judging matters. Photos will judged on a 1-10 scale � 1 being "It's Good" and 10 being "It's Amazing." In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be re-judged by a new judge who will serve as a tie-breaker using the same criteria as stated herein.

I like the fact it's all cake no fondant.  Buttercream tastes so much better too!  Even though fondant makes things look cleaner, the work that went into creating the feather deserves a 10!Big smile

I knew it said the judges would choose the winner's cake by rating it themselves, but I'm assuming they're going to judge the top 10? top 100? I doubt they're going to sort through every single entry... but I could be wrong.

Around the time she made the cake, there was a real owl that regularly flew onto her property and hung out in the trees... and she's always thought owls were beautiful birds too.
