To many to list in a poll but but are your experiences. I Have had many good flights with all sorts of airlines. Most of the Asian airlines are top notch. My worst flights have been on Qantas (sorry aussies) but I have had two of my worst flights with them.

this poll is very very broad...maybe you should break it down to domestic and international(by country while you are at it.)

I voted for Air NZ, but in the U.S. it would most likely be Jetblue or Virgin America.

Lufthansa is a POS   Not as bad as Delta, but the second worse customer service I've ever dealt with. I've only purchased one flight with them (to and from Europe) and that will be the only time I ever give them any of my money.
Big Air. Kids today, that's all they want, big air. I say stick to the mountain. That's where the fun is. You want big air kid? Pull my finger.

I have heard people say they are good, but they also have lots of planes and I must say a 11 hour flight on one of their planes without a TV SUCKS!

Don't know what either of you guys are talking about. When I took my Lufthansa plane from Frankfurt to Portland, we had a tv, hot dinner and free drinks. One of the best times I had on a plane.

air canada if ur willing to pay a bit of extra for comfort in economy. book early enough and their prices are actually decent. also, for those on a computer all the time, most of their planes have outlets (either in front or under the seat). i dunno if it's available yet but they also promised free in-air internet access.

JAL and ANA - incredible service. They are in a completely different league than American airlines.

I'd have to say Virgin America for their fleets and Southwest for the best customer service. United Airlines are the worst in everything! I avoid using them at all costs.

I've flown a ton domestically in the States due to work (ie. on the road ~10months out of the year flying with UA, AA, US Airways, Southwest, Delta, NW, etc) for a few years and when I went to NZ on vacation, (now living in NZ) I thought Air NZ was amazing compared to all the US carriers.

However, I've just recently flew Emirates to Australia and I must say it has blown away the competition.  This is also including some of the Asian carriers (not chinese which I thought were terrible).

The entertainment centers are amazing (movies, games, tv shows, sports) with 13' touch screens in economy, each seat has a power outlet to accommodate all power adapters from different countries, and a USB connector.

Add on relatively good food choices, free booze, nice seats, and very good looking stewardess' from a variety of different countries I was instantly won over.  IMO, they are attempting to bring back the glamor days of flying.

In the US, Southwest is hard to bet considering they don't have baggage fees.

Southwest. Cheaper, faster and more flight times. Depending on where your going they have more non-stop flights than other airlines as well.

Southwest is THE best ever. I've flown them every time I have been on a flight, and they never disappoint me. The no baggage fee is huge considering I always bring more than I need (it's a girl thing), and the people (for the most part anyway) are really friendly and helpful. Plus, they always have great deals on their flights. I've never paid more than $250 for a round trip flight. I love Southwest!

No American airline can compete against the likes of Qantas/Emirates/JAL... they're definitely in a league of their own.

Having said that, nothing has nor ever will suck as much as Aerolineas Argentinas. That crap is down right scary... it's like hoping on a bus from Tijuana just to realize a few minutes later it flies!

Singapore Air is great.  I was only in coach but the the seats were super comfortable with headrests that hold your head in place so it's easy to sleep.  The TV in front of me had the newest movies still in the theatres or you could play video games instead.  The food was decent and it was served frequently and the alcoholic drinks were free.  What more can you say?  I can only imagine what first class is like.

domestic: Southwest..at least no bag charges..delta is ok too..the $25/luggage is a rip though..but at least they have tv per seat so that's awesome!!!

international: it all varies for me..whatever's the greatest deal available I'd normally jump on it..too long of a flight though..wish i could sleep more during long flights..but it's really difficult to sleep in planes.

Virgin has got to be the best for all of their features. If you're living in the western US, Southwest is great cuz they're so damn cheap for short trips to LA or Vegas. Does it really matter how good the flight is if it's only going to be 45 minutes? Not to me...

Southwest for domestic airlines.

Air NZ, Singapore Airlines, Asiana, JAL...all know about customer service.

The domestic airlines are filled with old, barely squeezing through the aisle, disgruntled union flight attendants. Even before 9/11 they were on a spiraling path down with labor strikes...post 9/11 add baggage fees, bad attitudes, no meals, pay $8 for a cold snackbox, and the US airline industry is a global exampled of crap...no different than a bus trip cross-country.
