After a very unproductive morning at work I've finished reading it and I feel super ejumecated.

wow thanks a million ippy. that must have taken a lot of time to mkae. I really thankyou for this, although 2 weeks earlier would hav ebeen nice as the ski and snowboard convention was in my area.(not complaining)

The only way it could be even better is if there could be some suggestions for women's boards, or more women's specific issues... For example, do the weight/board length ranges change for women, etc.

Nice write up Ippy, I'm sure this will be brought up at the next palooza...somehow in some joke or seriousness fashion.  Members will high five, hug, or hump you, depending on their sexual preference at that time.  And a historian will capture another great moment in palooza history.

Awesome write-up! I was cruising this site yesterday and didnt even think about reading the posts on the forums. Should of read this before going out and buying all my gear today.... makin me think twice and possibly returning the board I got and getting another one I had in mind. Damn salesman haha !!

Question/Comment: No mention of strength/athleticism (maybe i missed it in the long read) being able to change the flex of the board, there was the big guy vs small guy discussion but it seemed to be about weight and height. Can the strength and athleticism of the rider alter what the rider can do to the board?

i kinda based that a lot on what i was hearing about the sherlock. It seemed it was a slightly more aggressive freestyle stick than the custom v/flying v. Truth is, i think i mentioned somewhere here or at snowjapan that the custom, being the flagship deck of category three is one of the decks i really feel like sticking in category 4. That whole thing is a bit squirly though if im honest. As i say it went kind of on flex and where i visualised the deck performing at its peak. From the stuff i read about the sherlock (as well as the people hyping it), it seemed like it suited more rugged natural terrain than the custom, so that was probably the reason. But dont worry dude, theres so much in there i look at and think "should that deck be there?" Hell, on the second pass i moved the indoor FK into category 2 even though there was a paragraph in category three talking about my experience on the indoor fk :)

However if you remain unconvinced i'll throw the sherlock into cat 3 if you think it should be there. If youve ridden it, your experience counts way more than my interpretation of other people having ridden it :)

PS. Rylander, yeah strength and balance will affect your ability to load the tail, which will affect your ability to pop that deck. If youre a fat ass like me, pressing my indoor fk is gonna be a lot more of a pain than if my 70kilo was nought but pure thigh muscle and an incredible center of gravity :)
