I tried sandboarding a few times and it was really dumb. My board would just always catch in the sand. You really don't have any float.

sandboarding is really fun but you have to be set up for it!
You need to use a smaller board (105cm - 130cm) Need some sand wax And basically if you decide to use your board for sand boarding, then you cant use it for snowboarding later on :p it'll be all messed up! So just use some old crappy board |

Sand boarding doesn't look appealing to me. No lifts and I hate sand in my feet.
If you want a summer alternative, you should wake board.

I wonder what kind of tricks you could do sand boarding? Making kickers would be a pain, since sand doesn't pack all that well.

I tried it back in the day. It was slow, had to really work to make turns. It may be alright if you had a really steep hill to gain some speed. I didn't think is was worth the time.
