I was up there as well I couldn't believe that the parking lot was full.  I was stocked they had crest open.  They did a great job getting everything ready.

A group of us just booked a flight to spend spring break 2012 in Utah for some snowboarding.  Any suggestions on which resorts we should visit and where we should stay?

stay in salt lake or park city.  if you stay in salt lake, go to snowbird, brighton, solitude, maybe snowbasin (north of salt lake).  if you stay in park city, hit up the canyons or park city.

I heard the resorts are pretty close to each other.  How long of a drive is it from the resorts in Park City to Salt Lake?

It's a half hour drive from SLC to PC.  It's a boring as hell drive though.

It would take about 45 minutes to an hour to drive from Park City to any of the cottonwood canyon resorts.

I got one pow day there with 16" and it was amazing.  PowMow would have been better, but my flight was a 5:30 so it was a hell of a rush to SLC after a day of great shred.

I'm headed to Utah the week of President's Day, but some of my friends aren't hitting the mountains. What's the nightlife like? I'm planning on stay in SLC and going to Snowbird the first two days then getting a hotel in Park City and going to PCR and Canyons the rest of the week.

Since this winter has been a bust our Utah tour is on hold for maybe next year. We want to hold out for better conditions.

With that said I may have some Brianhead Mid-Week tix to give away. I just want an interest list for now. So i wont be scrambling to find some takers at the last minute. I should know by Mar.
Dont send me an address just yet. Just let me know if you are interested. I have 4 tix.

Just got back from my Utah trip this past week and have to say that I was impressed with Brighton and Canyons. Canyons reminds me to be a lot like Whistler,BC. Although kinda disappointed with Park City. Nothing that stood out in my mind. Bailed on Snowbird the last day and went to the Olympic Park. Didn't any snow really but I think I'd give it another go if the conditions were better. Saw the forecast before I left and they'll be getting dumped on for the week. shtty luck i guess.

Hey sorry for getting back to you so late.  LIftopia has the cheapest tickets to PC that I know of.
Check out Brighton while your in town.  Night boarding is amazing right now because it's light until around 8!  And it only costs 15 bucks to snowboard from 4-9.  Amazing deal I would not pass that one up.  Check Brightons facebook page that's where they posted the half off Night passes deal.

hey, I know this thread hasn't been posted on in a while but I figured it was a good place to catch some local riders. I sell cheap season passes ($375) to park city for college students. Hit me up if you're interested in riding pc this year, or if you already have a pass I'm always lookin for people to ride with.

this is totally a matter of opinion and what you want to ride.  park...go to park city or brighton.  if you want to ride without crowds...hit canyons or solitude.  if you want steep terrain, lots of powder, snowbird.  any of them is good, you won't regret going to any of them.

I was comparing the size of Whistler to Atla, and Atla is pretty HUGE!!!  Too bad they won't let boarders ride there.  Cry  Anyways, I'm booked for a 4 night weekend at Eagle Point so hopefully Utah could show me some love.  LOL
Sessions sucks hairy monkey balls, the end.
