OH YEAH!

It's already approaching and I'm amped. Seriously though does anyone else really want Miami to loose in the playoffs this year. Oh I want that so bad! Anyone have any predictions? I personally think that Kevin Durant will end up taking MVP this year, Not so sure about who will take the championship, though I'm hoping for the Celtics as I'm a huge fan. John Wall should take out rookie of the year from what I've seen already in the pre season, that kid is incredible.

I am just hoping the Nuggets can figure out a way to keep Melo.  I agree with you on Durant winning the MVP and Wall winning rookie of the year.

fellow miami haters unite, i'm with you on durant getting mvp and wall getting rookie of the year.  i don't see miami beating boston or orlando in the playoffs if they meet.  my prediction for the finals is lakers vs. magic

I"m really really interested to see how the raptors are going to turn out.  I'm a Canadian so obviously a raptors fan.  I might be the only one but I think they might be better with bosh.  They don't have any superstars anymore but each individual player has their own set of skills that I think when put together the team might do all right.  I'm not saying they're going to win it all but I think they can make a playoff push this year.  I might be the only one though.

Looking forward to :

1) Miami - Obvious reasons... I'm pass love/hate. I just want to see how they perform.

2) Carmelo - Pretty exciting to see where he'll land

3) Orlando - They look totally legit now. I can see them being a surprise win out of the East.

4) Houston - Looking forward to Yao's return to the Rox. It should be interesting to see how he plays with Martin. They look alright so far in the few minutes they've played so far. Yao looking real rusty.

5) New Orleans bombing - I'm calling it... they're going to be absolutely horrible this year. 10th in the West.

6) The Lakers - You either love or hate them... I love them. Kobe's offcourt issues aside, he's my favorite player to watch.

7) Mild interests in the rookies (Wall & Griffin & OdinLOL), Boston's old crew, Dallas, older Suns, & Portland.

Oh, and anyone playing NBA 2k11?

I'm looking forward to Miami running a train on the entire eastern conference. I hope Lebron scores like 60 points when they play Cleveland, and I'm looking forward to the massive amounts of humble pie that Lebron will be giving out for free.

I'm interested in seeing how OKC does when they've got some hype and pressure to do well.  Also interested in how the Warriors play now that they got rid of Nelson, hopefully they start building on something with Curry this year. And of course I'm interested in Miami, but as they're showing in the pre-season, just having LBJ/Bosh/Wade will win them 50-60 games easy. I don't think you're gonna really be able to know how good they are until they face the competition/intensity of the playoffs.

Still think Lakers are the team to beat, they upgraded in the off season and still have their core.

They'll wind it down at the end of the regular season and come out in the playoffs as the team to beat. Miami and Boston will fight it out in the East, Orlando just didn't make the upgrades required.

Chicago will be the dark horse in the east.

Be interesting to see how the Jazz perform given they lost about half their rotation players (mostly to Chicago).

The season begins soon...

I hope LAL gets another title and Phil gets threepeat again, he deserves it. I don't think that Miami gets a title right this year, as they might have lots of trouble adjusting all their superstar players to team play. I'll also root for OKC, they showed a nice performance in the last playoffs against LAL. KD can definitely carry them up to the conference finals, where they'll meet LAL :)

I'll be also watching NY closely, as there is a Russian player, Timofey Mozgov. I hope he does his job well and maybe even be a 6th player.

Anyway, hoping for a good and interesting season.

John Wall won't be THAT bad,
take a look at Tyreke, I know they're not the same player, but they were both coached by Calipari and know how to take care of business.

Nah, Wall will be a stud. He had 1 poor outing during a summer league game. He was the #1 pick for a reason and he's no Kwame Brown.

And I had totally forgotten about that Lin guy. Hope he does well in GW... I doubt he'll be a 6th player guy but maybe he'll crack the rotation later this season.

Anyone have any thoughts on Blake Griffin making his debut to the actual season this year, or is he gonna bung his knee up again. Think he could possibly give John Wall a run for his money for rookie of the year?

I'm from Portland, so seeing all the Blazers centers coming back this season from injuries will be crucial to get a decent seed in the west. If Greg Oden comes back and will have no more injuries, Portland has a decent shot to get a 3rd/4th seed.

With all the talent in the East. The Warriors should be at least an 8th seed. But who knows with that team.
is it just me? or is common sense not that common.

although i'am a J Lin fan, lets get real for a minute...
1. summer league is bullshit
2. Lin had a couple of highlights but as for him "shutting down" John Wall... never happened

head to head
wall - 21pts, 10ast, 7rebs
lin   - 13pts, 2ast, 4rebs and he fouled out.

im looking forward to watching Miami this season.  im thinking Celts vs Heat for the east title.
oh and whoever comes out of the east will win it all.

Who are they stronger than in the west?

LA - No
Dallas - No
Phoenix - No
Denver - No
Portland - No
OKC - No
Houston - no
Utah - no

Doesn't leave a whole lot of room for the Warriors in the playoff picture.

warriors should be able to compete for the 8th. I predict they'll end up out, but based off injuries, its possible.

I agree Shaq isn't going to be adding anything to the Celtics. Face it they're an aging team who are on the decline.

i think that might be a bit harsh.. they had to deal with a few injuries in the finals, and a KG that really didn't show up. And they still took it all the way to a game 7. I agree they could use a bit more depth on the squad.. but I dont think Shaq is the right man. I'd love to be proved wrong, but that would likely require shaq actually working out.. so i don't see that happening.

It is my dream right now for the LAKERS to go to the finals with miami and beat the sh!t outta them and watch wade and lebron cry as they once again lose.

On a side note how funny would it be for the cavs to win the championship after lebrons years of wining from not gettin his ring. That would be priceless.

LAKERS are the best and will never stop dominating.

Warriors I think picked up David Lee from the Knicks this year, He is like full on mad guru, was the only actual decent player the knicks had. Though they now have amare which should be interesting if they can make playoffs this year.
